CATCHING PEOPLE=FOR OUR GOD

 

As a FORMER FINANCIAL PLANNER=tax preparer

And stock broker=I am very FAMILIAR

With the TERMS net gains

And net losses

 

But as I have GROWN WISER=

And older=CLOSER to God

The only NETS=that I care about

ARE CATCHING PEOPLE=for our God

To bring people to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER

And his son=Jesus Christ

 

“……..they left THEIR NETS=and

Followed him”                                                                                                                         Matthew 4:20

 

In John 21=it talks about

The disciples/APOSTLES CATCHING

153 KINDS of fish

 

Some scholars think=that that number

Means there were 153 NATIONS=or kinds

Of people=at that time

 

Nevertheless=Our apostles=CAUGHT PEOPLE

From everywhere in this world

 

But our work is NOT DONE=and won’t be

UNTIL every single person=in this world

COMES to our HEAVENLY FATHER=and his SON

What a great world that would be

For our LORD

CATCHING PEOPLE=FOR OUR GOD!

 

“Jesus said to them’=’Bring some

Of the fish you have just CAUGHT’=So

Simon Peter=climbed back into the boat

 

And dragged the net ashore=it was FULL

Of large fish=153=but even with so many

The net was NOT TORN”                                                                                                         John 21:10-11

 

We are CALLED=to answer our God

To come to God=and IF

We are so fortunate=BRING

Someone else along with us

NET GAINS FOR THE LORD!

Catching PEOPLE=for our God

Just like the apostles of Jesus

 

“Now if you=obey me fully

And keep my covenant

 

Then=OUT OF ALL NATIONS

You will be=my treasured possession”                                                                            Exodus 19:5

 

“BLESSED IS THE NATION=whose God

Is the Lord=the people he chose

For his inheritance”                                                                                                          Psalm 33:12

 

“But you are=A CHOSEN PEOPLE

A royal priesthood=A HOLY NATION

God’s special possession=that you may declare

 

The praises of him=who called you

Out of darkness==into his wonderful light”                                                         1 Peter 2:9

 

Someday=I HOPE all nations=ALL PEPLE

Come to our GOD OF LOVE=particularly

Our own nation=who seems

SO LOST right now

 

But UNTIL that happens=WHEN

Our HEAVENLY FATHER and his son

Jesus Christ return=I would consider

A BLESSED HONOR

 

IF I had a hand=in bringing

ONE more person to our God=or

CLOSER to God=that is

My mission=your mission=the MISSION

Of all of us

 

BRINGING people to God=whether

It be ONE or 153=is a net gain

CATCHING PEOPLE FOR OUR GOD!=

For his loving KINGDOM

 

In Jesus name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LOVING=forever living

FOREVER TEACHING=Holy Father God!
