LETTING GO OF THE PAST

LETTING GO OF THE PAST (THE ROAD TO FORGIVENESS) We are ALL carrying Some past issues Along with us Through our lives ISSUES that We are having trouble letting go We NEED to Make PEACE with these issues Before we can move along- SUCCESSFULLY- With our lives “As far as the east Is from the west So far he has put Our transgressions from us” Psalm 103:12 God has NO trouble Forgiving us From our past mistakes WHY do we Have so much trouble Forgiving others? Why do we Have so much trouble Forgiving ourselves? Why don't we let go Of this road- To the past? Let us TRY a new road THE ROAD TO FOEGIVENESS Just like our God Let us LET GO of the past Let us BUILD a healthy future “FORGET the former things Do NOT dwell in the past” Isaiah 43:18 “WHOEVER invokes a blessing In the land Will do so By the ONE TRUE GOD Whoever takes an oath In the land Will swear By the one true God For the past troubles WILL BE FORGOTTEN And hidden from my eyes” Isaiah 65:16 SOMETIMES-we have sins- Or mistakes-if you will That linger in our lives Like unwelcome visitors Parts of our past That REFUSE to go away NO matter how many times We take them to God LET US make a pact You and I Let us let go Of the past Let us build our future ON LOVING GOD And on LOVING each other Let us let go of our past Let us take THE ROAD TO FORGIVENESS It is the ONLW WAY We can SPIRITUALLY MATURE It is the only way We can FIND the true FAITH To move into the future WITH CONFIDENCE “CONSIDER the blameless Observe the upright A future awaits For those who SEEK PEACE” Psalm 37:37 “There is SURELY A FUTURE for you And your hope Will not be cut off” proverbs 23:18 ACCEPT the grace and forgiveness God offers you OFFER grace and forgiveness To someone else TOGETHER-we can Let go of the past Together-we can TAKE the fork in the road THE ROAD TO FORGIVENESS THANK YOU LORD For the grace and the FAITH To go on-EVERY DAY In Jesus' name Robert P.
