WE CAN STILL BE ONE!

WE CAN STILL BE ONE Some years ago I read some statistics About their being 30,000 or 40,000 different Christian churches Not to mention the Jewish religion- The Muslim religion-the Hindus-the Buddhists- And who knows what else It is HARD to see HOW we can ever Be one nation-one world UNDER GOD “Holy Father- KEEP them in your name That you have given me So that they may be ONE Just as we are one” John 17:11 We are ALL so different We have a diversity of backgrounds- Experience and opinions In our communities It is really hard to see How it might come about I KNOW we can still BE one world UNDER GOD For we know ALL THINGS are possible with God “And we know That in all things GOD works for the GOOD Of those who LOVE HIM Who have been called According to HIS PURPOSE” Romans 8:28 We have to get away From this notion That I am right And you are wrong AWAY from this notion That MY religion is THE CHOSEN ONE Jesus LIVED and died For ALL PEOPLE- And all people are HIS ALL PEOPLE Are the CHOSEN ONES of God “I PRAY........ THAT they may be one As you-Father Are in me-and I in you …..... Father-they are your gift To me” John 17-20-21, 24 How about that We are ALL God's gift to him Yes-us-we Broken-and confused people Who betray God and Jesus EVERY day of our lives Are still considered a GIFT To God Even as we really know That God is the TRUE GIFT-Jesus is the true gift PERFECT LOVE Is the GIFT to this world Dear Lord-Dear God HELP US find your gift of UNITY To the ENTIRE world “How good and pleasant It is When God's people LIVE TOGETHER IN UNITY” Psalm 133:1 “........so that the day of Christ May be built up UNTIL we all reach UNITY In the faith And in the knowledge Of the Son of God And become mature Attaining to the whole measure Of the FULLNESS of Christ” Ephesians 4:13 Dear Father I truly believe We can STILL all be ONE In this world IF we truly LIVE In LOVE & RESPECT of each other Father of ALL- Giver of GIFTS- MAY WE ALL BE ONE IN YOU Robert P.
