SAINT RITA=A SAINT FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE

SAINT RITA OF CASCIA IT’S NOT IMPOSSIBLE Saint Rita Is a SAINT for the impossible Rita was a widow Then later an Augustinian nun She is considered to be The patron Saint of Desperate Cases As a child Rita wanted to become a nun But married In deference to her parents’ wishes Her husband—after marriage Became violent and notoriously unfaithful They had 2 sons together And Rita endured Her husband’s insults and unfaithfulness For 18 years One day He was murdered And his sons set out to avenge his death They too died Rita then became a nun She prayed constantly and with meditation So intensely That a wound appeared on her forehead As though She was pierced by a crown of thorns She died of tuberculosis And after her death Her reputation for holiness and miracles Continued to spread Her body Remains incorrupt even today Today-along with saint Jude She is known As the patron of impossible cases She is also known As the patron for difficult marriages Particularly where the husband Is violent or unfaithful Her feast day is May 22nd And includes A BLESSING OF ROSES Robert P.
