BEING A FOOL

 

BEING A FOOL

If I have

To be a FOOL

For anything=in this world

I hope it is

FOR GOD

That is

My HEART felt belief

That is

The way

I TRY to live

Saint Paul says=

“We are FOOLS

On Christ's account........” 1 Corinthians 4:10

And he REMINDS

The followers of Christ

“When ridiculed-we bless

When persecuted-we ENDURE

When slandered-we respond gently” 1 Corinthians 4:12-13

The opposite of

The PHILOSOPHY of

This world=which says

We RETALIATE in kind

Being a FOOL for God

Being a fool for CHRIST

“The FOOL says

In his heart

'There is no God;

They are corrupt

Their deeds are vile=

There is no one

Who does good” Psalm 14:1

“And anyone who says=

'You FOOL'=

Will be in danger

Of the fire of hell” Matthew 5:22

“For the FOOLISHNESS of God

Is wiser than human wisdom

And the weakness of God

Is stronger than human strength” 1 Corinthians 1:23

Today we celebrate

The life

Of Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta

She was much ADMIRED

For her FOCUS

On the poorest

Of the poor

But NOT everyone

Lauded her work

Some SCOFFED that her efforts

Would have BETTER served the world=

If she CHANGED the world's

Unjust systems and laws=

BRINGING SOCIETAL CHANGE

Mother Teresa's MINISTRY

Made a significant difference

In the lives

That she TOUCHED

She became

“A FOOL on the account OF CHRIST”

We should all be

So BLESSED AND FORTUNATE in this world

MOTHER TERESA

Never let the opinions of others

LESSEN her compassionate care

For the unloved

NEITHER SHOULD WE!

“But God chose

THE FOOLISH THINGS

Of the world

To shame the wise

God chose the weak things

Of the world

To shame the strong” 1 Corinthians 1:27

May we all be CONVINCED

To follow Christ=

Even if it means

We are FOOLS

BEING A FOOL FOR GOD

In the name of Jesus=and the name of our ever LOVING FATHER
