LIVING SIGNS
The APOSTLES were
LIVING SIGNS of Jesus
In yesterday's world
We are supposed to be
LIVING SIGNS
For Jesus in TODAY'S WORLD=
Living signs for LOVE=peace=
Forgiveness=joy=and kindness
For Christ=in this
MODERN day 21st century
“He said to them
'Take NOTHING for the journey........'” Luke 9:7
PACKING for any trip-
Can be quite a CHALLENGE=
Lists are made-
Bags are checked and rechecked=
We want to be PREPARED
For every eventuality=
WE want to leave
NOTHING TO CHANCE
I am sure the apostles
Were NOT any different=
And we are to be
NO DIFFERENT=we are to be
The LIVING SIGNS for Christ
In today's world
“Therefore=the Lord himself=
Will give you A SIGN=
'The virgin will conceive
And give birth to a son
And will call him Immanuel'” Isaiah 7:14
“He(Nicodemus)=came to Jesus
At night and said=
'Rabbi=we know
That you are a teacher
Who has come from God=
For no one
Could perform the SIGNS
You are doing=IF GOD=
Were not with him'” John 3:2
“Jesus performed
MANY OTHER SIGNS
In the presence
Of his disciples
Which were not recorded
In this book” John 20:30
The apostles and us
Are ALIKE
In many ways
Jesus asks them
To place THEIR TRUST
Solely in him=
As he asks us too
He(Jesus)=asks them
To go WITHOUT a walking stick=
Without food=money=or spare change
Who could travel this way?
I guess we could
IF we really=TRUSTED the Lord=
I guess we could
If we really believed
WE are LIVING SIGNS
Of the Lord
“Therefore=I urge you=
Brothers and sisters=
In view of God's mercy
To offer your bodies
As a LIVING SACRIFICE=
Holy and pleasing to God--------
This is your true
And proper worship” Romans 12:1
Today we CELEBRATE the feast
Of Saint Padre Pio=
Let us FOLLOW his advice
“PRAY-hope-and don't worry”
And LOVE THE WORD of
God and Christ
If we do this=we will be
TRULY like the APOSTLES=
LIVING SIGNS of Christ
In today's world
In the name of Jesus our Lord=and the name of GOD=OUR HOLY FATHER!
