GOD'S GENEROSITY

We worship a GENEROUS GOD=

A fact Illustrated by

The fact that he gives us

LIFE ITSELF

To do with

WHATEVER we want

Jesus' parable today

FURTHER illustrates that fact

Today we read about a

Landowner hiring workers early

IN the morning, at 9am, at noon,

And again later in the day

He pays them ALL THE SAME

The WORKERS that were

Hired early QUESTION the landowner

His response=

“Are you envious-because

I am GENEROUS'=Thus the

Last will be first=

And the first-will be last” Matthew 20:15-16

He tells the workers

“Take what is yours and GO” Matthew20:14

He is a FAIR GOD

It is the SAME with us

FOLLOWERS of Jesus=

Whether we come to him

At birth in baptism=

Or on our own death bed

He OFFERS US the same reward=

A LIFETIME in eternity

With him=

He is a GENEROUS GOD!

GOD'S GENEROSITY!

“Good will come

To those who are GENEROUS

And lend freely

Who conduct their affairs

With justice” Psalm 112:5

“The GENEROUS will themselves

Be blessed-

For they share their food

With the poor” Proverbs 22:9

What SEPARATES the last

From the first-

In this parable?

It is NOT

The quality of their work

It is the ATTITUDE

Of superiority=that the

FIRST workers had=

Like the attitude

Of many of us

In this world

They REJECT EQUALITY

With those who came later

But we WORSHIP A GENEROUS GOD

Who loves us all equally

“Then it will be ready

AS a GENEROUS GIFT=

Not as one grudgingly given” 2 Corinthians 9:5

“Command them to do good

To be rich

In good deeds

And to be GENEROUS

And willing to share” 1 Timothy 6:18

We worship a GENEROUS GOD=

GOD'S GENEROSITY extends

To WHEREVER he wills

Even to those whose

ONLY PRAYER is

“GOD HELP ME”

God is GENEROUS with us=

It behooves us=to be

GENEROUS WITH OTHERS

In the name of Jesus=and our ALWAYS GENEROUS FATHER
