FINDING FREEDOM!

 

FINDING FREEDOM

Today we talk about

Jesus' FAMOUS STATEMENT

And about finding forgiveness

And about finding FREEDOM

When we forgive

“Jesus answered=

'I say to you

NOT seven times=

But SEVENTY-SEVEN TIMES'” Matthew 18:22

This is Jesus' famous RESPONSE

To the question of

HOW MANY TIMES

We should forgive someone

He teaches us that

We are to be GENTLE=

Compassionate=merciful

And patient

In our humanity=

We are BOUND to HURT OTHERS=

And in our divinity=

We are also

Bound to forgive

And when we forgive=

WE FIND FREEDOM!

“........in hope

That the creation itself

Will be liberated

From its bondage

To decay

And brought into the FREEDOM

And glory

Of the children of God” Romans 8:21

“Now the Lord

Is the SPIRIT

And where the

Spirit of the Lord is

THERE IS FREEDOM” 2 Corinthians 3:17

Yes there

Is FREEDOM in the Lord

And there is

FREEDOM IN FORGIVENESS

Regardless of how many times

We have to give it=

FORGIVENESS GIVES FREEDOM!

Because the Holy Spirit

Lives in us=we are empowered

To love unconditionally

And Jesus knows that

HOLDING on to resentment

And bitterness-

Causes us to poison ourselves

FORGIVENESS yields freedom=peace

And well-being

FINDING FREEDOM IN FORGIVENESS!

“You=my brothers and sisters

Were called to be FREE

But do not use

YOUR FREEDOM=to indulge the flesh

Rather serve one another

Humbly in love” Galatians 5:13

Just as we are CALLED

To forgive others=

We are called

To FORGIVE OURSELVES TOO

With the SAME KINDNESS

And generosity of spirit

It it TIME for us

To let old grudges DISSOLVE

It is time

TO FIND FREEDOM

In forgiving others

And ourselves

LET OTHERS and yourself

Off the hook

FIND FREEDOM!
