GIVING GOD THE PIECES=

(of our BROKEN HEARTS)!

 

SO MANY of us=have

Had BROKEN HEARTS=IN

The last few years=for

ONE REASON=or another

 

DEATHS=in the family=

BROKEN FAMILIES=Job or financial issues=

Or just plain HEALTH PROBLEMS

Our hearts=

May be BROKEN=for all sorts of reasons

What CAN we do?=Just

Give God the BROKEN PIECES

 

“The Lord is CLOSE=to

THE BROKENHEARTED”                                                                                                Psalm 34:19

 

Sometimes things just happen=

Sometimes the DAILY NEWS

Is just so gosh darn bad=so

MUCH SUFFERING=in this world=KEEP

Hanging on in there=Keep

GIVING GOD THE PIECES=to

Your broken heart

 

“When the sun=had set

And darkness had fallen=

 

A smoking firepot

With a blazing torch=appeared

And passed=BETWEEN THE PIECES”                                                                                Genesis 15:17

 

“Those who have violated

My covenant=and have not fulfilled

The terms=of the covenant

They made before me

 

I will treat

Like the calf=cut in two

Then walked=BETWEEN ITS PIECES”                                                                                     Jeremiah 34:18

 

So HOW=

Can we MEND THE PICES=

Of our broken heart?

 

Through honest prayers=

SHARING the pain and sorrow

Of our lives=and by seeking SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

From priests=ministers=and family and friends=

And by giving IT=some time=

As Much as we can=GIVING GOD THE PIECES

Of our broken hearts

 

“Trust in him=

At all times=you people

POUR OUT YOUR HEARTS=to him

For God=is our refuge”                                                                                                            Psalm 62:8

 

“You are the ones=who

Justify yourselves=in the eyes

Of others

 

But God knows=YOUR HEARTS

What people value highly=is detestable

In God’s sight”                                                                                                                       Luke 16:15

 

“You yourselves=are our letter

WRITTEN ON OUR HEARTS=known

And read by everyone”                                                                                                     2 Corinthians 3:2

 

Dear Lord=OUR HEARTS=have been broken

So many many times=we are GIVING YOU

The PIECES OF OUR HEARTS=back to you

 

For you to MAKE OUR HEARTS whole

Once again=Please put us individually=our families

And OUR WORLD back together again=

GIVING GOD THE PIECES=of our HEARTS!

 

As we ourselves=GIVE LOVE to others

To help them=in their journey

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=OF OUR EVER RESTORING=and healing=Holy Father God!
