“Why can’t we be Champions Again”

 

 

Why can’t we be champions again

There ain’t no reason

It’s just a new season

And you know you’ve been there before

All it takes is that winning attitude

To be restored

But to get to that positive attitude

You know you have to bear down

But you’ve never been a clown

There isn’t room for any latitude

You got to live as a champion once more

 

So why can’t we be champions again

There ain’t no reason

I’m the man of this season

All you have to do is believe in yourself

There just isn’t anyone else

And you know it isn’t anything new

It’s something you always knew

There’s just so very very few

That can do the things  that you can do

When all is said and done

It’s so true

 

We are the champions

And there are many reasons

But mainly because this is our season

We believe in ourselves

We know there just isn’t anyone else

With the power and concentration

To be the continuing sensation

Because we know what has to be done

And we do it--that’s why we’ve always won

 

But will we always be champions

You know there can be many a setbacks

And many a bends

But we will always be the champions because

What is in a champion’s heart--you know you  just can’t pretend

We just keep on bearing down

We don’t anyone or anything  push us around

And when things  get looking bleak

We just rebreak some old ground

We restore that positive attitude

We just believe in ourselves

Because we know there has never been anyone else

That can do the things that we can do

 

We will always be the champions

In every season

We’ll find many a reason

That’s why we’ve always  won

We find the ways to get things done

 

So why can’t we be champions again

We will be champions again

 

We are the champions
