THE AFFIRMATION

KNOW I LOVE YOU ALL=INFINITELY!

 

 

 

 

THE AFFIRMATION

(GOD DOES PROVIDE)

 

Have you EVER FELT miserable=Like

You have left God and Jesus down?

Or family and friends?

 

I IMAGINE that is HOW

Peter felt=but Jesus APPEARS

To Peter today=

AND AFFIRMS HIS LOVE=for him

Just as=he tells us=HE LOVES US

And forgives us

EVERY DAY=of our lives

 

“When SIMON PETER=heard

That it was=the LORD=he……..

Jumped into the sea”                                                                                                    John 21:7

 

After the RESURRECTION=

The apostles are having trouble

CATCHING FISH=But Jesus

Changes all of that

 

“FRIENDS=haven’t you any fish?’

‘NO’=they answered=he said

‘Throw YOUR NET=on the other side=

Of the boat=and you will find some’”                                                                              John 21:5-6

 

Jesus CREATES a little MIRACLE

For the apostles=and they have

A GREAT CATCH=of fish

 

GOD PROVIDES=for the apostles

Just as=

HE PROVIDES FOR US=and our needs

In life=at least=He

Has done that for me

 

AFFIRMING HIS LOVE=for Peter

And the apostles=Affirming his love

For us

 

“The wild animals=honor me

The jackals and the owls

Because I PROVIDE WATER=in the wilderness……..”                                                             Isaiah 43:20

 

“Command those=who are rich

In this present world=NOT

To be arrogant=nor

To put their hope=in wealth

 

Which is so uncertain

But to put their HOPE=In God=

Who richly PROVIDES US=with everything

For our enjoyment”                                                                                                          1 Timothy 6:17

 

But MOSTLY=what John 21 does

IS PROVIDE AFFIRMATION

Of Peter’s love=and our love=BY JESUS

EVEN if we let him down=

HE STANDS WITH US

 

“Simon Peter=son of John=

Do you LOVE ME=more than these?’

‘Yes Lord’=he said

You know that I LOVE YOU’”                                                                                           John 21:15

 

John 21=REMINDING US

That WHEN we hear=the Lord’s voice

We should jump

 

For he PROVIDED LOVE and AFFIRMATION

For Peter=after the Resurrection=and he

Lets us KNOW=he will do

THE SAME for us

 

The Lord Jesus=AFFIRMS US!

The Lord Jesus=LOVES US!

The Lord Jesus=PROVIDES

For us all

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER PROVIDING=Holy Father God!
