PRESENT IN THE DARKNESS
YESTERDAY=Jesus died=
He is LIVING IN THE tomb
He is=PRESENT IN THE DARKNESS
He will be ALIVE again tomorrow=
The triumph of
THE LOVE OF GOD=even over death
“ARE YOU UNAWARE=that we
Who were baptized into Christ Jesus=
Were baptized into death?”
Romans 6:3
When we were babies=
OR MAYBE LATER=we became Christians
We were BAPTIZED in Jesus
We live a life
OF living with God
Because Jesus did=because
He overcame death=he was
PRESENT IN THE DARKNESS
“You Lord=are my lamp=
The Lord=TURNS MY DARKNESS
Into light”
2 Samuel 22:29
“This is the verdict=
Light has come=into the world
But people LOVED DARKNESS=
Instead of light=Because their deeds
Were evil”
John 3:19
It is so TRUE=it was
True then=in CHRIST’S TIME
And it is true=In our time
People LOVE the darkness
Instead of
THE LIGHT OF CHRIST
I don’t know=but I think=I am=we are
Dense or stubborn=or maybe just
NEED SOME ENCOURAGEMENT
But we got that ENCOURAGEMENT
In Jesus=Because death has NO POWER over him
NO POWER OVER Christ=he is=Jesus is
PRESENT in the EVERY DAY darkness
Of our lives too
“For you were once DARKNESS
But now=you are light in the Lord
Live as=children of light” Ephesians
5:8
“But you are=a chosen people
A royal priesthood=a holy nation
God’s special possession
That you may declare=
The praises of him=who called you
OUT OF THE DARKNESS=
Into his wonderful light”
1 Peter 2:9
Tomorrow morning
The ONE TRUE LIGHT=of love
Drives THE DARKNESS AWAY
The TRIUMPH=of God’s love
Victory=PRESENT IN THE DARKNESS
We live in darkness today=but tomorrow
The true LIGHT of God
THE LIGHT OF JESUS=drives the darkness away
Alleluia!=Alleluia!=Alleluia!=
Christ RISES TOMORROW=to live forever
PRESENT IN THE DARKNESS!
In Jesus’ name=and in the LOVE of our Holy Father God!
