EVERYONE BELONGS TO GOD The funny thing About this life With all the hatred- Violence-killing-etc., IS that we all Come from the same creator- The same MAKER of us all We are all CHILDREN OF GOD EVERYONE belongs to God “Jesus said in reply: '….....Has none but this foreigner RETURNED to give thanks to God?'” Luke 17:18 In today's world We call people “foreigners” too Maybe not By that exact word But anyone NOT LIKE us physically- Spiritually-emotionally- We treat them as odd But again-I say We all-BELONG TO GOD Jesus died for every single person In this world If we are TRUE CHRISTIANS We are to “LIVE”=by the example Of Christ's own life HIS love-forgiveness-and kindness For all We all belong to God And everything in it “To God BELONG wisdom and power Counsel and understanding are his” Job 12:13 “If we live We LIVE for the Lord And if we die We die for the Lord So WHETHER we live or die WE BELONG to the Lord” Romans 14:8 To the Jews The Samaritans were foreigners They were NOT welcome In Jewish circles They were looked down And discriminated against Yet of the ten people In today's gospel That Jesus heals from leprosy ONLY the Samaritan returns To say thank you And Jesus PRAISES him In front of the astonished crowd “Stand up and go- Your FAITH has saved you” Luke 17:19 So we must ask ourselves Who are we EXCLUDING from our lives? Who are we Treating as foreigners? Because they are a LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT THAN US We are all-CHILDREN OF GOD Jesus' life and death PROVED that “Yet to ALL Who did receive him To those Who BELIEVED in his name He gave the RIGHT To become CHILDREN OF GOD- Children born Not of natural descent Nor of human decision Or a husband's will BUT BORN OF GOD” John 1:12-13 Don't treat anyone As a FOREIGNER Don't avoid or shun anyone Dear Lord-WE PRAY Help us to know That the whole world BELONGS TO YOU And that we BELONG To each other Robert P.
