SAYING GOODBYE=WHERE THE SPIRIT LEADS

SAYING GOODBYE=
WHERE THE SPIRIT LEADS

Saying GOODBYE to family
And friends=for WHATEVER REASON=
Is particularly SAD

It always CLOSES one door
And HOPEFULLY opens others

TODAY we read about Saint Paul
And his TOUCHING farewell speech
To Ephesus=ACKNOWLEDGING that he would
PROBABLY never see them again

“But now=compelled by the SPIRIT=
I am GOING to Jerusalem” Acts 20:22

SAYING GOODBYE=
Where the SPIRIT LEADS

Those who gathered
Were all=DEEPLY MOVED
By Paul's presence

Because his PREACHING
Had CHANGED their lives

“They were all weeping LOUDLY-
As they threw their arms
Around Paul
And kissed him” Acts 22:37

WHERE the Spirit leads

Like Saint Paul=people today=
Make DECISIONS=that lead them
To other lands

LIFE leads them elsewhere
Saying GOODBYE=is always difficult
In life

WHERE THE SPIRIT LEADS!

“He makes me lie down
In green pastures
He LEADS ME
Beside quiet waters” Psalm 23:2

“The fear of the Lord
LEADS to LIFE

Then one rests CONTENT
Untouched by trouble” Proverbs 19:23

“But now=
That you have been SET FREE
From sin

And have become
Slaves to God

The BENEFIT that you reap
LEADS to holiness
And the result
IS ETERNAL LIFE” Romans 6:22

We say GOODBYE in this life
For many REASONS

Change in job=
Illness or death=
DEPLOYMENT in the service=
And on and on and on

But it always=LEADS=
To new beginnings

WHERE the SPIRIT LEADS!

“CREATE in me
A PURE HEART=O God
And renew

A steadfast spirit
Within me” Psalm 51:10

“The SPIRIT of the
SOVEREIGN Lord=is on me
Because the Lord

Has anointed me
To PROCLAIM
GOOD NEWS to the poor
…....................” Isaiah 61:1

FAREWELLS=GOODBYES=are always=
DIFFICULT in this world

Dear Lord=HELP US to PRAY
For the strength and safety
Of all

Who are FOLLOWING
WHERE THE SPIRIT LEADS

And to those of us
Who WEEP at their DEPARTURE

In the names of Jesus and HIS
MOST LOVING FATHER
