SIN=BRING YOUR BEAUTY
INTO THE WORLD


We live in a world
FULL of sin=murder and violent crime=
White collar crime=


And we SEE malnourished children=
People SLEEPING under bridges=and
DISCRIMINATION based on race=
Gender and age


Yet=there are so MANY
BEAUTIFUL people in this world=
LIKE YOU


Following Christ=
BRINGING YOUR BEAUTY
Into the world


“Anyone who GIVES you
A CUP of water to drink
Because you BELONG to Christ


AMEN=I say to you=
Will SURELY
Not lose his reward” Mark 9:41


In today's GOSPEL=Jesus brings UP
Some graphic and UGLY IMAGES


He talks about
Hanging MILLSTONES around
People's necks


CUTTING off hands and feet
And plucking out eyes


The point is:


Body disfiguration is NOTHING
As COMPARED to one
Who sins and does evil


SIN is ugly=FOLLOW Christ
Bring your BEAUTY
Into the world


“One thing
I ASK from the Lord
This only do I seek


That I may DWELL
In the HOUSE of the Lord
All the days
Of my life


To gaze on the BEAUTY
Of the Lord
And to seek him
In his temple” Psalm 27:4


“Rather=it should be
That of your INNER SELF


The UNFADING BEAUTY
Of a gentle and QUIET spirit
Which is


Of great WORTH
In GOD'S SIGHT” 1 Peter 3:4


Dear LORD=we see the
AWFUL SIN in this world


And on a PERSONAL level
We see our own UGLY acts
Of selfishness=impatience=violence=and greed
Etc., etc., etc.,


Let us PICK UP
Our crosses
And FOLLOW CHRIST


Let us FOLLOW his BEAUTY=
ALL the days of our LIVES


“Then he said to
Them all=
'WHOEVER wants to
BE my disciple


Must deny themselves
And take yo their CROSS DAILY
And FOLLOW ME'” Luke 9:23


Dear LORD=please help us
Follow Christ=and BRING MORE BEAUTY
Into this world


Let us BRING our
THOUGHTFULNESS=our patience=
And generosity and LOVE
