A VALENTINE’S DAY POEM TO GOD










A day of love
Between you
And your significant other
Or perhaps
Maybe the love
Of just a friend
For a friend


But what about
The love
God gave to you
The love
The love God gives to you/us/me
Every day


He loves you very much
He went
To the cross for you


He loves you
With an unconditional love
He loves you so much
That there is nothing
You can ever do
To separate
God’s love from you


So Lord
We say thank you
We say thank you
For loving us
With this great great love


We say thank you
For accepting us the way that we are
And though we can never love you
In the way
And with the same love
That you love us


We just want to say
Happy Valentine’s Day!!


And
That we will keep making the effort
To always
Keep on loving you
