RUNNING THE RIGHT RACE

RUNNING THE RIGHT RACE

We are all
Running a RACE
In life

But we have different
STARTING POINTS=although we ALL
Wind up in the same place=
SIX FEET UNDER

Therefore we should be
Running the race FOR GOD=
RUNNING the race for love=
For forgiveness=and
For kindness

“........Persevere in
Running the race
That lies before us

While keeping our eyes
FIXED on Jesus........” Hebrews 12:1-2

Running the race for LIFE=
The race for
ETERNAL LIFE with God
And Jesus

Running the RIGHT RACE?

Not the race for FAME
NOT the race for fortune
But running
THE RIGHT RACE
The race of loving God
The race for LOVING
Our brothers and sisters in Christ
The race of LOVING EACH OTHER

“The RACE
Is NOT to the swift
Or the battle
To the strong

Nor does food
Come to the wise
Or wealth
To the brilliant
Or favor
To the learned

But TIME AND CHANCE
HAPPEN to them all” Ecclesiastes 9:11

We EACH have to run
Our own UNIQE RACE
We all get worn out
And discouraged
AT TIMES

But the RACE OF LIFE
Keeps moving on

We wonder
If our efforts
Really matter

We wonder if Jesus'
COMMANDMENTS OF LOVE
Really do matter

They DO
If we are running
THE RIGHT RACE

They do
If we are running
The CHRISTIAN RACE
Of love=of forgiveness=
Of kindness

“However=I consider
My life worth
Nothing to me

My only aim
Is to finish
THE RACE

And COMPLETE the task
The Lord Jesus
Has given me--------

The task of
TESTIFYING to the good news
Of God's grace” Acts 20:24

Are we running
The RIGHT RACE?
Are we living our life-------
Are we RUNNING our race
FOR THE LORD?

Our race is to KEEP
Our eyes FIXED on the Lord

Our RACE is to
Cross the finish line
And spend eternity
In UNION with our God
And our LORD and SAVIOR=JESUS

Dear Lord=we pray=for
The STAMINA and the WISDOM
To RUN the right race
And to FINISH all the laps
OF THE RACE

In Jesus' name and in the NAME=of our ALL LOVING=our everlasting FATHER
