FOLLOWING WHOLEHEARTEDLY

 

FOLLOWING WHOLEHEARTEDLY!

It is hard to

Have an UNDIVIDED HEART=

It is hard to focus

On just ONE THING

But I try to do that

With God=I try to

FOLLOW GOD WHOLEHEARTEDLY

I try to FOCUS on

God and Jesus=all day long=

Or at least

As much as I can

“He said to him=

'FOLLOW ME'=

And leaving everything behind-

He got up

And followed him” Luke 5:27-28

There are so MANY things

In life=that try

To get our ATTENTION=

That try and get in OUR WAY

From following God wholeheartedly

That is the way=it must

Have been with Matthew (Levi)

The way it was-

With all the apostles

And that is the WAY

It has to be with us too=

His 21^st century disciples

We have to FOLLOW GOD

With our whole hearts too

“........except Caleb-

Son of Jephunneh=

He will see it-

And I will give him

And his descendants

The land=to set his feet on

Because he FOLLOWED

The Lord WHOLEHEARTEDLY” Deuteronomy 1:36

“Serve WHOLEHEARTEDLY=

As if you=were serving the Lord

Not people

Because you know

That the Lord

Will reward each one

For whatever good=they do

Whether they are slave=

Or free” Ephesians 6:7

I WONDER if Matthew

And the other apostles=

Ever get as sidetracked

As we do today

I wonder if

The apostles=ever

GOT SIDETRACKED

In following Jesus

Like we do today

Well if they did=

They always RETURNED

To the Lord

As we all need to

“FOLLOW ME”=says Jesus

“Then Jesus said

To his disciples=

'Whoever wants

To be my disciple

Must deny themselves

And take up their cross-

And FOLLOW ME'” Matthew 16:24

This LENT=let us KEEP RETURNING

To the Lord=

To the one who-

Who has TOUCHED OUR HEARTS=

And who we need

To FOLLOW WHOLEHEARTEDLY!
