SOMETHING NEW IN THE LORD

SOMETHING NEW IN THE LORD

WHO could have predicted

The last year? Who could have predicted

This COVID pandemic=and what

It would bring=in this last year?

Who CAN PREDICT=what is

Coming in this next year?=Perhaps

For some of us=it could be our

Last year=our last LENT

One never knows

What this world=is going to bring

“The kingdom of God

Is at hand=

Repent and believe

In the gospel” Mark 1:15

We should all be PRAYING

To God and to Jesus=EVERY DAY

We should be keeping

Our relationship with the Lord

Fresh and NEW every day

We ALL are

On a JOURNEY

That one day will end=

We need to=STAY NEW

In the Lord

There is ALWAYS

SOMETHING NEW=in the Lord

And it is

HIS LOVE for us

So today=RENEW and believe

In the gospel=BELIEVE

The kingdom of God

Is at hand

Believe HIS LOVE

His ever changing kingdom=

Yet=CONSTANT LOVE

Is here for you

SOMETHING NEW in the Lord=

His love for us=is

The CORE of his mission

“See I will create=NEW heavens=

And a new earth

The former things

Will not be remembered-

Nor will they come to mind” Isaiah 65:17

“Therefore-if anyone-is in Christ=

THE NEW CREATION=has come

The old has gone-the NEW is here” 2 Corinthians 5:17

This world is CONSTANTLY CHANGING=

There is SOMETHING NEW

Coming every day

But we are new people IN CHRIST=

New people every day

Because this world

Is never the same

From day to day

After the flood=

God entered a NEW COVENANT

With Noah and all creation

And we are made

NEW again=IN CHRIST

In our Baptism

We are made clean=

And new in Christ=

SOMETHING NEW IN THE LORD

“Yet I am writing you

A NEW command

Its truth=is seen

In him=and in you

Because the darkness is passing

And the true light

Is already shining” 1 John 2:8

Jesus' love for you is CONSTANT=

And yet you are SOMETHING NEW=

Every day=in the Lord

Ps In the names of Jesus=and the Father's CONSTANT=yet always NEW LOVE
