TAKE TIME TO REST

 

TAKE TIME TO REST

God COMPLETED his work

In six days=and on the 7^th day

HE RESTED

WHY don't us humans

Take TIME to rest?

Why do we DRIVE

Ourselves crazy=

Worrying about doing this

And that?

“Since on the seventh day-

God was finished

With the work

He had been doing

HE RESTED

On the seventh day

From all the work

He had undertaken” Genesis 2:2

God rested=we need to

TAKE some time out

And pause=

And take a rest too

TAKE TIME TO REST!

We live in a WESTERN WORLD

Where we

Are constantly moving

We FINISH one task

And we are in a hurry

To move on to

The nest one

HOW DIFFICULT it is

For us

Not to be

Constantly doing something

How difficult it is

For us=NOT TO

Just move on

To the next task

Take some time

AND REST TOO!

“For six days=

Work is to be done

But the seventh day

Is a day=OF SABBATH REST=

Holy to the Lord

Whoever does any work

On the Sabbath day

Is to be put

To death?” Exodus 31:15

That is a BIT EXTREME=

I am certainly-

NOT advocating that=

Or any form of punishment

Just take some time out

RELAX=and pause=

And WORSHIP=our dear LORD

Take some time out=

And DELIBERATELY

Go a little slower

TO pause and be still

Is a LUXURY

For the soul=

And our God

NOTICES EVERYTHING

That we do=that acknowledges him

“This is

What the Lord says=

'Stand at the crossroads

And look=

Ask for the ancient paths

Ask where

The good way is

And walk in it

And you will

FIND REST=for your souls'” Jeremiah 6:16

TAKE TIME AND REST=
Live at a deeper level=

And be aware=of what

STIRS within you

Be aware=of how the SPIRIT

Moves in you=and in your life

In the name of Jesus=OUR DEAR LORD
