MERCY IS A DIVINE PLEDGE AND PROMISE

Mercy IS a divine pledge

And PROMISE from God

To us

And IF we are FOLLOWING God

And Jesus=

It is a DIVINE PLEDGE from us

To others

Jesus tells us that he PREFERS

MERCY=not sacrifice

“I DESIRE mercy=

Not sacrifice” Matthew 9:13

A couple of years AGO=

It was A YEAR OF MERCY

From GOD and the CHURCH

To us

And he expects us to

SHOW MERCY=BOTH as a divine

Pledge and as a PROMISE

To ALL other living things

“Do not deprive

The foreigner

Or the fatherless

Of justice

Or take the cloak

Of a widow

For a PLEDGE” Deuteronomy 24:17

“........and the water

Symbolizes baptism

That now saves you also--------

NOT the removal of dirt

From the body

But the PLEDGE

Of a clear conscience

Toward God” 1 Peter 3:21

We should GIVE generosity and

Compassion=at all times=

Toward our NEIGHBORS in Christ

Toward our FELLOW BELIEVERS

In God

And we should always EXTEND MERCY

Toward all living things=

THAT is the WAY of God

Toward us

And that should

Always BE OUR WAY

Toward others

“Have MERCY on me

My Lord

Have MERCY on me

For in you

I take refuge

I will take refuge

In the shadow

Of your wings

UNTIL the disaster

Has passed” Psalm 57:1

“Whoever conceals their sins

Does NOT prosper

But the one who CONFESES

And renounces them

FINDS MERCY” Proverbs 28:13

“The Lord is FULL

Of COMPASSION AND MERCY” James 5:11

Other than God=and Jesus himself=

For us=

The greatest example of MERCY

Is in

The PARABLE OF THE

GOOD SAMARITAN=Luke 10=25:37

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND

That you go and RE-READ this

And follow through

With Jesus' command=

“GO and DO LIKEWISE” Luke 10:37

In any case=we should

Always extend MERCY to

OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS

For God DOES ALWAYS EXTEND MERCY

Towards us

In Jesus' name and the name of our HEAVENLY LOVING FATHER
