SEEING A NEED


A lot of life
A lot of BEING
A Christian


Is seeing the NEEDS
In a person=and FILLING
It for them


It is GIVING of our time-
Our resources=and our PRAYERS
To help another person out


It is FILLING THEIR NEEDS
When we see them


“But a SAMARITAN traveler
Who came upon him


Was moved with COMPASSION
At the sight” Luke 10:33


And isn't that the
MAIN INGREDIENT=when
We see a need=
RESPONDING with compassion


Today we have the story
Of the GOOD SAMARITAN
Who helped someone out
By the side of the road


Others saw him-
But kept on going
On the other side
Of the road


But the SAMARITAN
Filled with compassion
CROSSES OVER


To the place
Of suffering


He bandaged the wounds
Of a stranger
And gave TIME AND RESOURCES
For healing


Seeing a need
FILLING IT=feeling for him
With COMPASSION


“As a FATHER
Has COMPASSION
On his children


So the Lord has COMPASSION
On those
Who fear him” Psalm 103:13


“But after I uproot them
I will again-
Have COMPASSION


And will bring
Each of them back
To their own inheritance


And their own country” Jeremiah 12:15


“Praise be to the God
And Father
Of our Lord Jesus Christ


The FATHER OF COMPASSION
And the God
Of all comfort........” 2 Corinthians 1:3


So what is the MESSAGE
Here?=Jesus
Is telling us


That when we see
THOSE in need


We are to RESPOND
With grace and love and COMPASSION
To the unexpected


That love is CROSSING OVER
To HELP those in need
No matter how uncomfortable
It is for us


Seeing and HELPING
Those in need


“In Joppa-
There was a disciple
Named Tabitha
(in Greek her name is Dorcas)


She was always doing good
And HELPING the poor” Acts 9:36


That is-
What being a GOOD CHRISTIAN is=
Seeing the need=


Responding with COMPASSION
And filling the need


In Jesus' name=and in the name of our all LOVING=HELPING FATHER
