STOP=BE SILENT=AND LISTEN

STOP=BE SILENT=AND LISTEN

Today=Jesus takes

Peter-James and John

UP to the mountain

Where he is

TRANSFIGURED before them

He shows the APOSTLES

His glorified body=

And the GLORY of

The prophets=Moses and Elijah

“This is my BELOVED SON-

With whom

I am well pleased-

LISTEN TO HIM” Matthew 17:5

Right away=the apostles

Want to ERECT

Dramatic places of WORSHIP

But God INTERRUPTS them

And says

“This is my beloved SON........

LISTEN to him”

Maybe that is

What we all NEED

To be doing today=

During this period

Of the CORONA virus-

Of social UNREST

God is getting

OUR ATTENTION these days=

At least=he should be

We need to STOP=

BE SILENT=

And LISTEN to

The/for the VOICE OF GOD

Just like the apostles did

STOP AND LISTEN

For the voice of God

“Today=if only you would

HEAR his VOICE=

Harden not your hearts........” Psalm 95:7-8

“The gatekeeper

Opens the gate

For him

And the sheep

LISTEN to his VOICE” John 10:3

Maybe Jesus wanted

To COMFORT the apostles

So that

They would NOT lose hope=

Knowing they would

See him crucified

But the message here is=

Stop=be silent

And LISTEN TO HIM

So often when we

SEE a glimpse of God

We want to go

RIGHT TO WORK=

We want to tell everyone-

And write it down

But Jesus is telling us

Just the opposite=

STOP=BE SILENT=and LISTEN

Listen to the

VOICE OF GOD

“Let the wise LISTEN

And add

To their learning

And let the discerning

Get guidance--------” Proverbs 1:5

“My dear brothers and sisters

Take note of this=

Everyone should be

Quick to LISTEN-

Slow to speak

And slow to become angry........” James 1:19

So in this time=

The TIME of the pandemic

Let us STOP=BE SILENT

And LISTEN

For the VOICE OF GOD

Let us be SURE

Of what we are doing

BEFORE we act

In Jesus' name=and in the name of our ever LISTENING FATHER GOD!
