EVERYTHING WE HOPED FOR

 

EVERYTHING WE HOPED FOR

Our Jesus is a GOD-man=

And it is not easy

To UNDERSTAND him

He is God=He is man=

He is LOVE PERSONIFIED!

He is

EVERYTHING WE HOPED FOR!

“.......he stood in their midst

And said to them

'Peace be with you'

But they were

STARTLED and terrified” Luke 24:36-37

After his death

The Resurrected Lord

APPEARED to the Apostles

They thought

They were seeing a GHOST=

But Jesus calms them down

And asks for some food

EVERYTHING WE HOPED FOR

Jesus was incarnated into

A human body=and that

SAME BODY

ROSE from the dead

This GOD-man

CONFUSED the apostles

And he is constantly

Confusing us

ACTING in ways

We don't understand=

His ways are

NOT OUR WAYS

He is EVERYTHING

We HOPED for and more

“If you are-

Pleased with me-

Teach me YOUR WAYS

So I may know you

And continue=to find favor with you

Remember that this nation

Is your people” Exodus 33:13

“Let the wicked

Forsake THEIR WAYS=

And the unrighteous=their thoughts” Isaiah 55:7

This God-man

In a glorified body

Is nothing

The apostles HADN'T SEEN BEFORE

We too have many IDEAS

And expectations

On who and what

WE THINK our God=should be

But we CAN'T make God

Into what we

Want him to be

For ourselves

HE IS who he is

And he is

CONSTANTLY SURPRISING US

And yet he is

EVERYTHING WE HOPED

He would be

Even though=HIS WAY

Are NOT our ways

“COMMIT YOUR WAY

To the Lord=trust in him

And he will do this:........” Psalm 37:5

“But when

You are tempted=he will also

Provide a WAY OUT

So that=you can endure it” 1Corinthians 10:13

There is NO WAY

To understand Scripture=

Except through Jesus

There is NO WAY

To LOVE=

Except through Jesus

We may NOT UNDERSTAND Jesus=

But he is=

EVERYTHING WE HOPED FOR
