I FORGOT
The other night
I had a dream
The dream was about
My worst sin
In my dream
I was
Trying to talk to Jesus
I kept running
In to Saint Peter
I kept
Running into
All the other Saints
Finally one day
St. Peter whispered into my ear
St. Peter said
Jesus said to tell you
“I forgot”
That’s our God
He knows all things
He forgave me
Without my even
Having to ask
That’s our God
The merciful God
That’s our God
The forgiving God
That’s our God
The loving God
That’s our God
Couldn’t we pass
That forgiveness on
To someone else
