SEEING THE FACE OF JESUS=IN OTHERS
In this world=we MEET
We see
All kinds of people
EVERY color=every nationality=
Every religion=every sex=
And OUR JOB=very simply is
TO LOVE=every one of them
Our job is to see
THE FACE OF JESUS
In every one of them=
To SEE the face of God
In all others
“When it was already dawn-
Jesus was standing
On the shore=
But the disciples
Did not REALIZE
That it was Jesus” John 21:4
In SOUTHERN FLORIDA=where I live=
There is as MUCH DIVERSITY
As anywhere on earth
Seeing THE FACE OF JESUS
In all others
In any city
In this country=
On any off ramp
You MIGHT see a man/or woman
Holding a sign=that reads
'No food-no job-please HELP”
You NEVER know if
They might use the money
For alcohol or drugs=
But nevertheless
There is the
FACE OF JESUS=there is
The face of CHRIST=in them
“The Lord
Make his FACE=shine on you
And be gracious to you” Numbers 6:25
“Make your FACE
Shine on your servant=
And teach me=your decrees” Psalm 119:135
“There he was
Transfigured before them
HIS FACE shone=like the sun
And his clothes
Became as white
As the light” Matthew 17:2
In EVERY homeless shelter
In this country
There are people
Without a home=
And without food
OFTEN times=there FACES
Are wrapped
In hoods and caps=
BARELY RECOGNIZABLE
But in their faces
Is the FACE OF JESUS
SEEING THE FACE OF JESUS
IN OTHERS
“For God=who said
'Let light=
Shine out of darkness'
Made his light
Shine in our hearts
To give us
The light of the knowledge
Of God's glory=
Displayed in
THE FACE OF CHRIST” 2 Corinthians 4:6
ALL around us=in this world
Are the FACES OF JESUS=
Reaching out to us
For help
His face is everywhere=
WE CANNOT ignore it
HELP SOMEONE TODAY!
In Jesus' name=and in the name or our HOLY FATHER God who loves EVERYONE of us
