THE ACHE=IN OUR HUMAN CONDITION

THE ACHE IN OUR HUMAN CONDITION

When we LOSE someone

In this life=whether family

Or close friend

It leaves a VOID in

OUR HUMAN CONDITION=

We don't know

What to do next

That is the CONDITION=

Mary Magdalene was in

After she lost her

BEST FRIEND=Jesus=there is

Always a DEEPER question

As to why this happened

“Jesus said to her=

'Woman-why are you weeping?

WHOM are you looking for'” John 20:15

Just a few days

AFTER Jesus has died=

He ENCOUNTERS=his dear friend

Mary Magdalene

Her BROKEN HEART is

Evidenced by her tears

We have all been in

This same spot

AFTER LOSING SOMEONE

The ACHE=IN OUR HUMANCONDITION

“He who is

The Glory of Israel

Does not lie

Or change his mind=

For he is

Not a HUMAN BEING

That he=should change his mind” 1 Samuel 15:29

“Peter and the other apostles replied=

'We must obey God

Rather than HUMAN BEINGS'” Acts 5:29

Of course=Mary is mourning

Jesus' death=but there is also

Another question=

“WHOM are you looking for”

That is a question

That touches on

The ACHE

IN OUR HUMAN CONDITION

We have all experienced

DEATH and LOSS=

We have all experienced

The LONGING for someone

Who wasn't there anymore

THE ACHE=the longing

In the human condition=

The MISSING OF SOMEONE

“Even in laughter=

The heart may ACHE

And rejoicing=may end in grief” Proverbs 14:13

“Desire without knowledge

Is not good--------

How much more=will hasty feet

MISS the way!” Proverbs 19;2

“Since the children

Have flesh and blood

He too-shared in their HUMANITY

So that by his death

He might break the power

Of death---------that is-the devil........” Hebrews 2:14

The LONGING of Mary Magdalene

For Jesus=

Is like the LONGING=THE ACHE

We all have

When we lose someone

Mary saw Jesus again=

We should all be SO FORTUNATE

But today=Jesus asks us

WHO are we looking for?

And the ANSWER is Jesus=and our ever-living=LOVING HOLY FATHER!
