ELEVATING OUR JOY!
Lent is a SOMBER TIME=
Of year=for we know
The death of our Lord
Is coming
But it is also
A time=FOR ELEVATING OUR JOY!
For we know
NOT even death
Can contain our Lord
His RESURRECTION is coming!
“If you honor (the sabbath)
By not following your ways……..
Then you shall-
DELIGHT In the Lord”
Isaiah 58:13-14
We SHOULD delight in the Lord
No matter
What our lives=are BRINGING US
For the Lord=Is our HOPE
And our FUTURE=rests in him
ELEVATING OIR JOY!=in the Lord
“For seven days
Celebrate the festival
To the Lord your God
At the place
The Lord will choose=
For the Lord your God
Will bless you=in all your harvest
And in=all the work
Of your hands
AND YOUR JOY=will be complete”
Deuteronomy 16:15
“Surely-you have granted him
Unending blessings=and made him
Glad with the JOY
Of your presence”
Psalm 21:6
ELEVATING OUR JOY!=this Lent
Through the Holy spirit
Of God=our Holy father
And his Son=Jesus Christ
Our Lord wants us
TO WORK FOR
The freedom of the oppressed
To feed the hungry
And HONOR the sabbath
Of our Lord
IF we do these things
And we=FOLLOW our Lord’s
Two commandments=forgive
And LIVE the beatitudes
Our God=Our Lord
Will=ELEVATE US WITH JOY!
And give us plenty of rewards
ELEVATING WITH JOY!=this Lent
“But the angel said=to them
‘Do not be afraid-
I will bring you=good news
That will cause
GREAT JOY!
For all the people’”
Luke 2:10
“……..then make MY JOY COMPLETE
By being like minded
Having the same love
Being one
In spirit=and of one mind”
Philippians 2:2
If we stay TRUE
To our Lord=this Lent
Our God will reward us
And ELEVATE THE JOY!
So high=that we will be
THRIVING on the coat tails
Of our dear sweet Lord
DELIGHT in the Lord
ELEVATING OUR JOY!=this Lent
Dear Lord=thank you
For CONNECTING with us
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever JOYFUL=Holy
Lord=FATHER GOD!
