GOD IS=CLOSE TO US!
Sometimes=our lives
And our DAILY happenings
Are difficult to understand
We face DOUBT=and
Disagreements=but our Father
Keeps us going=
It is easy=to be BROKENHEARTED
But we can FIND
Our faith again
In our Father=as we go on
“The Lord is CLOSE
To the brokenhearted”
Psalm 34:19
THIS is the ONE thing
That we can
Hang on to=WHEN
All else fails
Our Lord=Our Savior
IS CLOSE to the brokenhearted
When we COME CLOSE
To someone
With a broken heart=
We come=CLOSE TO CHRIST
For surely=our God
Is right there with them
Just as surely
As the night=is
FILLED WITH STARS
Our Lord=is at WORK
In the broken hearted=
Even if
It is OUR OWN broken heart
“He heals the BROKENHEARTED-
And binds up-
Their wounds”
Psalm 147:3
“He has sent me
To bind up
THE BROKENHEARTED
To proclaim freedom
For the captives=
And release from darkness
The prisoners”
Isaiah 61:1
The Lord’s TENDER CLOSENESS
To the broken hearted
Is seen in
Christ’s own life
He SACRIFICED his body
On the cross=for all of us
And he gives himself=to us
ALL over again
Each time he sees us
With a broken heart
God is CLOSE TO US
As we face our own crosses
As our hearts break
With our crosses
HIS HEART=breaks with us
“Whoever does not take up
THEIR CROSS
And follow me=is NOT
Worthy of me”
Matthew 10:38
“And having-
Disarmed the powers=and authorities
He made=a public spectacle
Of them
Triumphing over them=BY THE CROSS”
Colossians 2:15
Dear Lord=like you
Help us=to TRIUMPH OVER
ALL OF OUR CROSSES
And COMFORT=and BE CLOSE TO
THE BROKENHEARTED!
Teach us your ways
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER CLOSE=Holy FATHER
GOD!
