CALLED TO BE FAITHFUL!

(Like Ruth)

 

We are all=CALLED BY GOD

The Holy Father=and Jesus=we

Are CALLED TO BE FAITHFUL!

 

In the OLD TESTAMENT STORY=we read

A story about=LOYALTY and commitment

We read=a story=OF KEPT PROMISES

By RUTH=sometimes we are CALLED TO BE

FAITHFUL=Like our sister Ruth

 

“But Ruth said=’do NOT ask me

To abandon=OR FORSAKE YOU-for WHEREVER

You go=I will go=wherever you lodge

 

I will lodge=Your people=will be MY PEOPLE

And your God=MY GOD’”                                                                                                      Ruth 1:16

 

What a commitment=PROMISE

Ruth made=what LOYALTY=what commitment

By Ruth=CALLED TO BE FAITHFUL!

Like Ruth

 

Years ago=I made a deathbed PROMISE

“to LIVE=for my family=my friends=and

ALL people everywhere”

 

And it has been VERY DIFFICULT=very

CHALLENGING from a health perspective=threatening

My financial life=and ALL KINDS of relationship issues

 

But I have done MY BEST=with GOD’S GUIDANCE=

Family and help from friends=to keep my COMMITMENT

Just like Ruth=we are all=CALLED TO BE FAITHFUL

To our Lord=and our God=and our family=friends=and OUR WORLD

 

“As they set out=Jehoshaphat=stood and said

‘Listen to me=Judah=and people of Jerusalem!=

HAVE FAITH=in the Lord=your God

 

And you will be upheld=HAVE FAITH

In the prophets=and you will be successful’”                                                                            2 Chronicles 20:20

 

“And now these three remain=

FAITH=hope=and love=But the

Greatest of these is love”                                                                                                          1 Corinthians 13:1

 

Ruth’s story =is a STORY OF FAMILY

THE FAMILY OF LOVE=that she CHOOSES

To stand by=and it is a story

OF LOVE AND COMMITMENT

 

She is STANDING by her PROMISE=standing

By someone through

GOOD TIMES AND BAD TIMES=that is

What a FAMILY DOES

CALLED TO BE FAITHFUL!=

(Like Ruth)

“NOW FAITH IS CONFIDENCE=in

What we hope for=and ASSURANCE

About what we do not see”                                                                                                 Hebrews 11:1

 

Ruth’s LIFE=reminds me of

What it is FAITHFUL=of what we

Are called to do=LIVE a FAITHFUL LIFE

CALLED TO BE FAITHFUL!=just like Ruth

 

I HOPE=that you and I have LIVED LIVES

That we can be CALLED faithful too

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=OF OUR FOREVER FAITHFUL=forever loving

Holy Father God!
