FINDING PEACE IN GOD!
I KNOW something
About you=about me too
We are all
DESPERATELY searching for PEACE
Abd peace=specifically
These last few years=
IS getting more and more
DIFFICULT to find
“……..Elkanah used to give……
A double portion to Hannah
Because he loved her…….”
1 Samuel 1:4-5
Today we read about Hannah
She was barren for years
And Hannah became DISTRAUGHT
When her rival Peninnah
Flaunted her FERTILITY
In Hannah’s anguish=
NEITHER a double portion
Of what her husband sacrificed
Nor his love
Were enough=to console her
She could only
FIND HER PEACE IN GOD!=
She poured out her sole
To him
FINDING PEACE IN GOD!
“And Joseph answered Pharaoh
Saying=’it is not in me
God shall give Pharaoh=
An ANSWER OF PEACE’”
Genesis 41:16
“Depart from evil
And do good=
SEEK PEACE=and pursue it” Psalm
34:14
“And if the house
Is worthy=
LET YOUR PEACE-
Come upon it
But if it is not worthy
LET YOUR PEACE=return to you”
Matthew 10:13
God eventually
Did give Hannah a son=
But more than that
HE GAVE HER PEACE
In her soul=
And he will be there
For us too
He may not
Gove us=WHAT WE WANT
In this life=but he will
HELP US
FIND PEACE IN OUR SOUL
FINDING PEACE IN GOD!
“Oh that I knew
Where I might FIND HIM!
That I might even
Come to his seat” Job
23 :7
“Let us therefore
Come boldly unto
The throne of grace
That we may obtain mercy
And FIND GRACE
To help
In time of need”
Hebrews 4:16
Dear Lord=like Hannah
In the midst of our own distress
Help us=to TURN
To you
AND FIND PEACE=in our souls
FINDING PEACE IN GOD!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS PEACEFUL=LOVING
