FINDING WISDOM=COURAGE=AND LOVE!
Sometimes=in this world
We are CONFRONTED
By unfair situations=in life
Sometimes we
Are even THREATENED by others
I think=the BEST
We can do =is HOPE
To respond when threatened
With WISDOM=COURAGE
AND WITH LOVE
That is the right thing to do
“Saul HEEDED Johnathan’s plea
And swore=
‘As the Lord LOVES=
He shall NOT be killed’”
1 Samuel 9:6
Johnathan=Saul’s son=and David’s FRIEND
Attempts to INTERVENE=to Saul
THEATENING David’s life
And he does
It would have BEEN EASY
For him
To look the other way
But he intervenes
For his friend=David
Johnathan FINDS WISDOM=
FINDS COURAGE=and finds love
We should all be SO BLESSED
To have a friend like that
“Keep therefore=and do them
For this is
YOUR WISDOM=
And your understanding
In the sight of nations
Which shall hear
All these statutes=and say
‘Surely this great nation
Is a wise=and understanding people’” Deuteronomy
4:6
“Wait on the Lord
BE OF GOOD COURAGE
And he shall strengthen
Your heart
Wait I say
On the Lord’”
Psalm
27:14
“LET BROTHERLY LOVE CONTINUE!”
Hebrews 13:1
And so=David’s life
IS SPARED
And David becomes
The KING of Israel
And ancestor
To Joseph and Mary
The MOTHER=of our Lord
MAY we all be SO BLESSED
In this world
That we DEVELOP FRIENDSHIPS
Like David and Johnathan did
And we RESPOND
To each other by
FINDING WISDOM=FINDING COURAGE=
And finding LOVE
Dear Lord=we pray
That you=TEACH US your way
In having friendships
Like David and Johnathan
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=Of our Holy Father God=our
EVER LOYAL and faithful FRIEND!
