IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE TOO=THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES
In a couple of days
My 61st birthday is COMING UP
It makes me think
Of the message
Of=”IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE”
It makes me think
Of the lesson George Bailey
Learned-from his wonderful angel-Clarence
On HOW every life
Is PRECIOUS-and how EVERY LIFE
In this world
Effects every other one
You see
I have had to FIGHT
Through many life and death situations
And through day after day
Of SEVERE chronic pain
And it is ALL worth it
To spend MY LIFE with you
To spend our lives together
LOVING GOD
And spend our lives together
LOVING EACH OTHER
Life is indeed PRECIOUS
And life is indeed A GIFT
It is NOT
To be taken for granted
“PRECIOUS in the sight
Of the Lord
Is the death
Of his FAITHFUL SERVANTS” Psalm 116:15
And their LIVES too
Bob Hope used to have
A song called-
“THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES”
And that is what
I thank God for most
THE MEMORIES OF HIM(God)
The memories of my mom and dad-
sisters-FAMILY-friends-and churches
MEMORIES with people
LOVE with people
Make a lifetime
Things are meaningless
Thank you for the MEMORIES Lord
Thank you for the
GIFT OF LIFE
“But Timothy
Has just now
Come to us from you
And has brought GOOD NEWS
About your faith and love
He has told us
That you ALWAYS have
Pleasant memories of us
And that you long
To see us
Just as we
Long to see you” 1 Thessalonians 3:6
Dear Lord
Yesterday is a memory
Today is the present-
An opportunity
To make a NEW FRIEND
And tomorrow
May never come
It is 39 years
Of additional memories for me
Thank you Lord
It is indeed-A WONDERFUL LIFE
THANK YOU-FOR THE MEMORIES
