DON'T BE BITTER!

 

DON’T BE BITTER

 

REJECTION=is a very difficult=yet

VERY REAL part=of our lives

 

It is PAINFUL=and even

Sometimes humiliating=WHEN

We offer a part of OURSELVES

To someone=and

We are NOT ACCEPTED

 

“……..SHAKE OFF=

The dust from your feet”                                                                                                          Matthew 10:14

 

It can make us SAD=and feel

For the PEOPLE=who don’t accept us

It is even MORE DISAPPOINTING

 

When we are

CARRYING=THE WORD OF GOD

But=DON’T BE BITTER

 

Keep feeling THE LOVE=move on

To someone=who is

MORE RECEPTIVE

 

“The stone=the builders REJECTED

Has become=the cornerstone”                                                                                               Psalm 118:22

 

“He was despised=and REJECTED

By mankind=a man of suffering

And familiar with pain”                                                                                                       Isiah 53:3

 

What we have=to shake off

IS NOT risk or failure

 

But BITTERNESS=resentment=gossip

And pride=those things=WE CARRY with us

Everywhere we go

 

DON’T BECOME BITTER=and

Fill your ego=BUT RENEW your spirit

With the SPIRIT of our God

 

“Create in me= a pure heart

O God=and RENEW

A steadfast spirit=within me”                                                                                      Psalm 51:10

 

“Do not conform=to

The pattern=of this world

 

But be transformed

BY THE RENEWING=of your mind”                                                                           Romans 12:2

 

“Therefore we=Do not lose heart

Though outwardly we are wasting away=

Yet inwardly=we are BEING RENEWED

Day by day”                                                                                                             2 Corinthians 4:16

 

So when people REJECT YOU=

Blow you off=are NOT RECEPTIVE

To you=try to=NOT BE BITTER

Toward them

DON’T BE BITTER!

 

Jesus was=OUR EXAMPLE

Of love=for ALL of us=he kept

LIVING OUT OF LOVE

 

WE SHAKE OFF REJECTION

By the people=of this world

By staying=CLOSE TO GOD=and those

IN this world=who do love us

 

Don’t ever let yourself

BECOME BITTER=DON’T BE BITTER

Stay CLOSE to God

 

“He tend his flock=like

A shepherd=he gathers the lambs

In his arms=and carries them

CLOSE TO HIS HEART”                                                                                                            Isaiah 40:11

 

Stay CLOSE to God=by praying daily=

READING SCRIPTURE=and attending church service

And MASS=when you can=EVEN if it is in

THE CONFINES of your own home=like I

So OFTEN have to do

 

DON’T BE BITTER!=we can’t afford to

Have ANOTHER resentful person=in this world

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LIVING=FOREVER LOVING=Holy Father God!
