NOT REVENGE=BUT LOVE

 

NOT REVENGE=BUT LOVE

 

Families CAN be a=TOUCHY THING

Sometimes sibling rivalry

CAN BE VERY REAL

 

That was the case With Joseph

And his brothers who=THREW HIM

Into a pit=and left him=FOR DEAD

 

Jospeh was HURT=and wept

But after several TURNS=in the story

Joseph did NOT RESPOND=with revenge

And in the end=SHOWED LOVE=and forgiveness

NOT REVENGE=BUT LOVE

 

“THE BROTHERS=did not know

Of course=That Joseph understood

What they said…….

But TURNING AWAY from them=HE WEPT”                                                                               Genesis 42:23-24

 

I LOVE=my sisters dearly

And I would NEVER DO ANYTHING

To hurt hem=and

They are GREAT TO ME

 

But that is=NOT THE CASE

In all families=

SIBLING RIVALRY IS REAL

 

And REVENGE can be

A real motivating factor

CHOOSE NOT REVENGE=BUT LOVE

 

Joseph CHOSE FORGIVENESS AND LOVE

We should too

 

“The King will reply’=

‘Truly I tell you

 

Whatever you did=for one

Of the least=of those BROTHERS=and SISTERS

Of mine=you did for me’”                                                                                                        Matthew 25:40

 

“Truly=I tell you’=Jesus replied

‘No one=who has left home

OR BROTHERS OR SISTERS=or

Mother or father for me=

And the gospel=will fail=to receive

A hundred times as much……..’”                                                                                                      Mark 20:29-30

 

That was the CASE=with Joseph

He went on to be=the KING’S

Right hand man=and

A man of great wealth

 

Joseph went on=NOT ONLY

To be reconciled=with his brothers

 

But as part of=GOD’S DIVINE PLAN

He went on=to be IN a position

To save their lives=and he did

 

HE CHOSE LOVE=NOT REVENGE

As we all should do too

NOT REVENGE=BUT LOVE

 

“But the eyes=of the Lord

Are on those=who fear him

On those whose hope=is

IN UNFAILING LOVE”                                                                                                           Psalm 33:18

 

“LET LOVE=and faithfulness

Never leave you=bind them

Around your neck=and write them

On the tablet of your heart”                                                                                                   Proverbs 3:3

 

Joseph CHOSE LOVE=my siblings

HAVE CHOSEN LOVE=for me

And I for them

 

I THANK my two sisters

For being=The amazingly CARING PEOPLE

That they are=to me=and to the WORLD

 

Dear Lord=WE PRAY

THAT ALL FAMILIES=all brothers and sisters

CHOOSE LOVE=NOT REVENGE!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LOVING=Holy Father God=and

THE HOLY FAMILY!
