BOLDLY AND PRIVATELY

 

God and Jesus=have DONE great MIRACLES

In this world=and it continues=to be TRUE

Even still today

 

It is also TRUE=that he continues to TOUCH

US=BOLDLY and privately=each of us

In our own individual lives=ENCOUNTERING Jesus=

Day in=and day out=each of us

In our own lives

 

“Then he put them=all out=He took along

The child’s father=and mother=and those

Who were with them=and entered the room            

WHERE THE CHILD WAS”                                                                                                         Mark 5:40

 

The gospel today is dramatic=and

IS RICH=with the COMPASSION of Jesus

And focuses on HEALINGS

 

ONE such healing was the

BRINGING back to life=of Jairus’ daughter

Who was thought to be dead

“Your daughter is dead’=they said=

‘WHY bother the teacher anymore?’”                                                                                         Mark 5:36

 

But Jesus responded=”Why all the commotion=

And wailing?=the child is NOT DEAD

But asleep”                                                                                                                                        Mark 5:39

 

The crowd laughed at him=BUT

The child lived=because of the FAITH

Of the FATHER

 

And these are the KINDS of things

Jesus says to us=every day=BOLDLY AND PRIVATELY

“Do not be afraid=JUST BELIEVE”

 

“The wicked put up=A BOLD FRONT

But the upright=give thought

To their ways”                                                                                                                         Proverbs 21:29

 

“The wicked flees=though no one pursues=

But the righteous=are AS BOLD=as a lion”                                                                    Proverbs 28:1

 

“Now Lord=consider their threats=

And enable your servants=to speak your word=

WITH GREAT BOLDNESS”                                                                                                   Acts 4:29

 

Jesus commanded secrecy=about

THE HEALING of Jairus’ daughter=but

Of course=no one listened=WOULD YOU=

If you had seen a GREAT MIRACLE?

And privately=he had HEALED

A long suffering woman

 

And that is the WAY=he works with us

WHEN we encounter him=BOLDLY AND PRIVATELY

ENCOUNTERING Jesus=daily in prayer=In SCRIPTURE

And in the RECESSES of our hearts

 

Encountering Jesus daily=in LISTENING to him

And WITNESSING to the grace of God=he works in us

DAILY=BOLDLY AND PRIVATELY

 

“He( John the Baptist)=was not the light

He came=Only as a WITNESS=to the light”                                                                            John 1:8

 

“But you will receive power=when

The Holy Spirit comes to you

 

And you will be MY WITNESSES=In Jerusalem

And in all Judea=and Samaria=and to

The ends of the earth”                                                                                                               Acts 1:8

 

Our Holy Father God=IN HEAVEN=and Jesus

Will come to us too=in prayer=BOLDLY AND PRIVATELY

On and in our hearts

 

It will be=UP TO US=to SPEAK GOD’S WORD

Boldly and privately=TO ALL OTHERS

SHARE the Love of God=each and EVERY DAY

With every person that you can

BOLDLY AND PRIVATELY

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever ENCOUNTERING

Holy Father God!=forever living and loving!
