DEAD TO OURSELVES=BUT ALIVE IN GOD AND CHRIST

 

DEAD TO OURSELVES

(But ALIVE=In God and Christ)

 

LENT IS BEGINNING=in a few days

And it is UP to us=to make=A GOOD LENT

 

It is up to us=to say SO LONG

To our bad qualities=our evil ways

Like lying=like anger=and anything that INTERFERES

With our LOVE for God and others=it is up to us

To be DEAD TO OURSELVES=and our evil ways=and Open

Up to God and our good ways=this LENT

BECOMING ALIVE=to God and Jesus

 

“Moved with pity=he stretched out his hand

Touched him=and said to him=’I do WILL IT

BE MADE CLEAN’”                                                                                                                         Mark 1:41

 

In the gospel today=A LEPER asks Jesus

IF he is willing=to make him clean=Of course

Jesus is WILLING=he always is=and he is READY

To make all of us=CLEAN TOO=if we just become

 

DEAD TO OURSELVES=and PRAY to be ALIVE

In our Holy Father God=and our dear loving Jesus

BEING made clean this Lent=becoming ALIVE

IN our God and Jesus

 

“……..because on this day atonement=will

Be made for you=to cleanse you=then

Before the Lord=you WILL be CLEAN from

All your sins”                                                                                                             Leviticus 16:30

 

“The one=who has CLEAN HANDS=and

A pure heart=who does not trust an idol=or swear

By a false god”                                                                                                             Psalm 24:4

 

“You are ALREADY CLEAN=because of the word

I have spoken to you”                                                                                            John 15:3

 

This Lent=if you have any bad in you=

TURN away from it=Turn to God and Jesus

BECOME DEAD TO YOURSELF!=and your own sins=

BECOME ALIVE=In God and in the Holy Son Jesus

 

Jesus took away=ALL of our sins=UP on Calvary=Be

Dead to sin=DEAD TO OURSELVES=and ALIVE

In Christ Jesus

 

“After his suffering=he presented himself=to them

And gave many convincing proofs=that HE WAS ALIVE”

 

He appeared to them=over a period of 40 days

And spoke about=the kingdom Of God”                                                                     Acts 1:3

 

“In the same way=Count yourself=DEAD TO SIN

BUT ALIVE to God=in Christ Jesus”                                                                                   Romans 6:11

 

Our Jesus was=Our Holy Father God was=

Willing to HEAL the leper=and they are WILLING

To HEAL us too=from our worst sins=we just

 

Have to become=DEAD TO OURSELVES=this LENT

And BECOME ALIVE=in our God=Our Christ Jesus

And willing to Follow the Lord

 

Don’t cry tears of death=but tears of LIFE AND JOY

For this NEW LIFE=in the WILLINNESS of Jesus Christ

To heal us

 

“Restore to me=THE JOY of your salvation

And grant me a willing spirit=to sustain me”                                                                               Psalm 51:12

 

“Watch and pray=so that you=will not

Fall into temptation=THE SPIRIT IS WILLING

But the flesh is weak”                                                                                                                 Matthew 26:41

 

Dear Lord=we pray=that this Lent

We become=DEAD TO OURSELVES=but

Willing to become=ALIVE IN GOD=and his Son=Jesus

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever LIVING=EVER LOVING=Holy Father God!
