OUR ASTONISHING GOD!=

(Living in Gratitude)

 

Don’t you just love=THE SAND

On the beach?=Don’t you just love

The STARS=in the sky?=BOTH

ARE too numerous too count

 

But today=the Lord=through his ANGEL

Tells Abraham=that the NUMBER of his descendants will be

Just as numerous

 

“I will=bless you abundantly=and make YOUR DESCENDANTS

AS COUNTLESS=as the STARS of the sky=and

THE SANDS=of the seashore”                                                                                                 Genesis 22:17

 

And today=NO matter what monotheistic religion

You belong too=we can ALL trace ourselves

BACK TO ABRAHAM

 

And 47 years ago=OUR HOLY FATHER IN HEAVEN=

GAVE me a second chance at life=he let me

 

WALK AWAY=from a deathbed experience=that was

ENOUGH to kill me twenty times over

OUR ASTONISHING GOD!=Our God=who always surprises

I am LIVING WITH GRATITUDE=and thanksgiving

 

For this life=for EVERY DAY

Of this life=Living in AWE

FOR OUR ASTONISHING GOD!

 

“Dominion=and AWE=belong to God

He establishes order=in the heights=of heaven”                                                              Job 25:2

 

“My flesh trembles=in fear of you=

I stand=IN AWE=of your laws”                                                                                          Psalm 119:120

 

“When they see=among them=their children

The work of my hands=they will keep

My name holy=they

 

Will acknowledge the holiness=of the holy one

Of Jacob=and will stand=IN AWE=

Of the God of Israel”                                                                                                                     Isaiah 29:23

 

Aren’t you stunned about=God’s promise

To Abraham?=ARE YOU=NOT IN AWE=by

The promises of our=POWERFUL GOD OF LOVE?

 

MORE descendants=than the STARS=in the moonlight

More descendants=than the COUNTLESS amount of pebbles

On the beach=WHAT AN AWESOME GOD=that we serve

OUR ASTONISHING GOD!= of the heavens

 

“Do not be terrified by them=for the Lord

Your God=who is among you=is a great

AND AWESOME GOD”                                                                                                       Deuteronomy 7:21

 

“Then I said’=’Lord=the God of heaven=the

GREAT AND AWESOME GOD=who keeps

His covenant of love=with those who love him

And keep his commandments…….’”                                                                                      Nehemiah 1:5

 

YES=our God has KEPT HIS PROMISE

To Abraham=for he HAS COUNTLESS DESCENDANTS

Like the sand=and the stars=SO NUMEROUS

 

And he=HAS KEPT HIS COVENANTS=with you and me

Here I am 69 years young=and still ALIVE=despite

Countless medical conditions

 

WHAT PROMISES=has our totally AWESOME GOD=

Kept for you and YOUR FAMILY?

“The Lord=is not slow=in KEEPING HIS PROMISE=

As some understand slowness

 

Instead=he is patient with you=NOT wanting anyone

To perish=but everyone to come to repentance”                                                               2 Peter 3:9

 

Our Lord=OUR ASTONISHING GOD!=promises us

UNENDING LOVE and care=and he is here for us=as

He was for Abraham=He is=OUR ASTONISHING GOD!=who

Wants our GRATITUDE FOR LIFE!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LIVING=forever loving

Holy Father God=who ALWAYS=keeps his promises!
