SHINING THE LIGHT=ON OUR LIVES

 

What a great FEAST we have=in

THE TRANSFIGURATION=when

The Holy Father God=SHINED THE LIGHT

On his Son=by having him APPEAR

With Moses and Elijah

 

And God wants=to SHINE THE LIGHT

On our lives too=by having Jesus=LIVE IN

OUR HEARTS=live in our minds=and LIVE

In our souls

SHINING THE LIGHT=ON OUR LIVES

 

“But even as he spoke=a bright cloud

Overshadowed him=and a VOICE form the cloud said

‘This is my dearly beloved Son=who brings me

Great joy=listen to him’=The disciples were terrified and

FELL face down on the ground”                                                                                                     Luke 17:5-6

 

“Jesus took Peter=John and James up

On Mount Tabor to pray=while he was praying

His face changed its appearance=and his clothes

Became a dazzling while=……..a cloud of light

 

Appeared and covered them=with its shadow=

And the disciples were afraid=as the cloud came over them

A VOICE=from the cloud said=’This is MY SON

Whom I have chosen=listen to him’”                                                                                              Luke 9:28-35

 

The disciples were AMAZED=as Jesus

Was with Moses and Elijah=and Our Holy Father God

Wants to SHINE THE LIGHT=on you and me

And our lives too

 

So SPEAK to Jesus=from your HEART

Every day=and God the Holy Father will continue

To SHINE THE LIGHT=on you and your LIFE

 

God told Peter=James and John=to LISTEN

To Jesus=and we NEED to listen to OUR GOD too=

And Jesus=so he can SHINE THE LIGHT on us=as we let

The world KNOW=we are his disciples too

SHINING THE LIGHT=ON OUR LIVES

 

“You Lord=are my lamp=the Lord

TURNS my darkness=INTO LIGHT”                                                                                         2 Samuel 22:29

 

“For you have delivered me=from death

And my feet from stumbling

 

That I may walk before God=IN

THE LIGHT OF LIFE”                                                                                                               Psalm 56:13

 

“Come=descendants of Jacob

Let us walk=IN THE LIGHT=of the Lord”                                                                             Isaiah 2:5

 

What a SIGHT=this MUST have been

Jesus APPEARING=with Moses and Elijah

On Mount Tabor

 

The feast of the TRANSFIGURATION

Is on August 6^th=and was ORIGINATED

By Pope Callixtus III=in 1456

In the WESTERN CHURCHES=after first

APPEARING in various forms=in the 9^th century

 

So=LISTEN to Jesus=and you will TRIUMPH

Over sin and death=and live in his KINGDOM

With him forever

 

TALK to Jesus everyday=read the bible and Scriptures

And HIS LIGHT and GOD’S LIGHT will

SHINE ON YOUR LIFE=and you too

SHINING THE LIGHT=ON OUR LIVES!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our Holy Father God=whose LIGHT

IS FOREVER SHINING ON US
