MEMORABLE AND TIMELESS

MEMORABLE AND TIMELESS

Did you ever notice something
About Jesus' messages=his parables
In the bible?

They are MEMORABLE and TIMELESS=
And they contain the ANSWERS
To everyone
Of life's problems

Today we have the
PARABLE of the sower and
There are some things
That stand out

“A very large crowd
Gathered around him
So that he got

INTO a boat
On the sea
And sat down” Mark 4:1

Yes=ALL of Jesus' messages
Are memorable and TIMELESS
And what stands out today

Is Jesus' ability to ADAPT-
His relaxed posture-
And his powerful IMAGERY

MEMORABLE AND TIMELESS
Are his teachings

“All the people
Of the land
Will bury them

And the day
I display my glory
Will be a MEMORABLE DAY
For them

Declares the Sovereign LORD” Ezekiel 39:13

“But Timothy
Has just now
Come to us from you

And has brought good news
About your faith and love

He has told us
That you always have
Pleasant MEMORIES of us

And that you long to see us
Just as we long to
See you” 1 Thessalonians 3:6

Yes=MEMORABLE AND TIMELESS
Are the
MESSAGES of the Lord
They have all

The answers to the PROBLEMS
Of this world

In today's gospel=
When the crowd
Becomes large

Jesus doesn't sent
The people away
He ADAPTED
To his circumstances

And he SAT in the boat
To teach=and he put
The people at EASE

And he uses IMAGERY
To bring home his point=
Jesus has nothing but TIME
For his people

And his TEACHINGS=the gospel readings
Stand the test OF TIME

“Show righteousness
For yourselves
Reap the fruit
Of unfailing love

And break up
Your unplowed ground

For it is TIME
To seek the Lord
Until he comes
And showers his righteousness
On you” Hosea 10:12

Dear Lord=we PRAY=
Help us to be less complaining
And more adaptable
To our circumstances

And help us to read the TIMELESS
MESSAGE=that the WORD OF GOD
Is MEMORABLE=and comes
Every day of our LIVES

In Jesus' name and in the name
Of our ALL LOVING-EVER LASTING FATHER!
