AN OPPORTUNITY=TO COME HOME
We are IN the Advent season=
And God is=Jesus is
CALLING OUT to us
This is an OPPORTUNITY
TO COME HOME=to love
We are CREATED by God
And we are
To SHARE our lives
With God the Father=
Every minute
AN OPPORTUNITY=to come HOME
To God and Jesus
“Then our mouth=was filled
With laughter=and our tongue
WAS REJOICING”
Psalm 126:2
The psalmist sings
With ELATION
Because the exiled people
Are COMING HOME
How about us?=Have we
EXILED ourselves from God
The Holy Father and Jesus?
Are we being negligent?
Are we BEING indifferent
Toward others?=Are we
ONLY concerning ourselves
With our own self-interests?
“Impress them(the commandments)
On your children
Talk about hem
When you sit AT HOME
And when you walk
Along the road
When you lie down=
And when you get up”
Deuteronomy 6:7
“The Lord’s curse=is on
The house of the wicked
But he blesses=THE HOME
Of the righteous”
Proverbs 3:33
“Jesus replied=
‘Anyone who loves me
Will obey my teaching
My Father=will love them
And we will=come to them
And make=OUR HOME
With them’”
John 14:23
I hope
We are NOT EXILED
By our own behavior
I hope that we
ARE REACHING OUT
To God=and COMING HOME
This Advent and Christmas
This world=NEEDS MORE GOD
Not less
Don’t exclude yourself from him
WE BELONG to God
“As it is=you do not
BELONG to the world
But I have chosen you
Out of the world=this is why
The world hates you”
John 25:19
IF we have STAYED CLOSE
To God and Jesus=these four weeks
Of Advent and Christmas
It will bring us=AN OPPORTUNITY
To COME HOME to God
It is=for ALL of us
Be LIGHTHEARTED=like the psalmist
And REJOICE with God and Jesus
THIS CHRISTMAS
COME HOME=if you have been away
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS WELCOMING
Always loving=HOLY FATHER GOD!
