ENLARGING OUR HEART!
If you didn’t know
ANY BETTER
You would think=Isaiah
Was talking=about
BEING a camper=about
ENLARGING a tent
But we know=he IS
Talking about
ENLARGING the size
OF OUR HEARTS
To take in everyone
ENLARGING OUR HEARTS!
“ENLARGE the space
Of your tent
Spread out
Your tent cloths unsparingly=
Lengthen your ropes=and make firm
Your stakes”
Isaiah 54:2
ADVENT challenges us
To be AWARE
From the tendency-
To shorten the ropes
And limit the number=who might be INCLUDED
IN OUR HEARTS
But Jesus challenges us
During this Christmas season
To ENLARGE OUR HEARTS=
To OPEN UP our hearts
To everyone
Afterall=he lived and died
For everyone
HE LOVES US ALL!
Make SPACE in your life
ENLARGING OUR HEARTS!
“My Father’s house
Has many ROOMS
If that were not so
Would I have told you
That I am going there
To prepare a place
For you?” John
14:2
“Jesus did
Many other things as well
If every one of them
Were written down=
I suppose that even=the whole world
Would not=HAVE ROOM
For the books
That would be written”
John 21:25
ENLARGE YOUR HEARTS!
So that your life
CAN reach out to everyone
Just like Jesus=NO EXCEPTIONS!
Have an EVER-GROWING spaciousness
Of the heart=for love
So that you can WELCOME
And invite=all your brothers and sisters
Into it=just like Jesus
WITHOUT EXCEPTION!
“And whoever WELCOMES
One such child
In my name=WELCOMES ME!”

My mom used to say
LOVE DRAWS A CIRCLE
And pulls people in
Hate draws a circle
And pushes people out
Dear Lord=WE PRAY that you
ENLARGE OUR CIRCLES OF LOVE
For everyone
ENLARGE OUR HEARTS!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS and ever-loving
Holy Father God!
