GOD REMEMBERS HIS PROMISES

 

Fortunately for us=

GOD REMEMBERS HIS PROMISES

 

He promised us=he was

Going to die=and RISE

From the dead=to SAVE us all

From our sins

And he SURELY did that

 

“……..for he REMEMBERED

His PROMISE of mercy……..”                                                                                                    Luke 1:54

 

But God=not only

Remembers his promises

HE KEEPS THEM TOO!

 

I remember my promises too=

And I TRY and keep them

 

I remember my deathbed promise=

“To LIVE for my family=my friends=

And for all people everywhere”

 

And I am RENEWING

That PROMISE to God=right now

As I try=and fight on

THROUGH this prostate cancer

 

God REMEMBERS HIS PROMISES=

And he remembers our promises too=

He tries to help us ALONG

As we fight forward=KEEPING OUR PROMISES

To God

 

“Not one of all

The Lord’s GOOD PROMISES

To Israel failed=

Everyone was fulfilled”                                                                                                     Joshua 21:45

 

“Theirs is the adoption

To sonship=

Theirs the divine glory

 

The covenants=the receiving

Of the law

The temple worship=and THE PROMISES”                                                                   Romans 9:4

 

“Through these=he has given us

His very great

AND PRECIOUS PROMISES

So that through them

 

You may participate

In the divine nature-

Having escaped the corruption

 

In the world-

Caused by evil desires”                                                                                                  1 Peter 1:4

 

Today=in the gospel

Ringing down=

Are the MAGNIFICENT WORDS

Of Mary=

Mary’s song=GLORIFIES the Lord

 

And God glorifies Mary

By KEEPING his promise

To her=Jesus=and the HOLY FAMILY

 

BOTH Hannah and Mary=remind us today

That God always

Remembers and fulfills his promise

GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES!

 

“The Lord has kept

THE PROMISES he made”                                                                                                      1 Kings 8:20

 

“The Lord=is not slow

In keeping his PROMISE=as some

Understand slowness”                                                                                                  2 Peter 3:9

 

During Advent=during

This CHRISTMAS SEASON=even though

Things look bleak

 

Let us REMEMBER

The light and LOVE of Christmas

Will soon be upon us

 

And the HOPE=that is coming

The love that is COMING

The Lord=REMEMBERS HIS PROMISES

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever PROMISE KEEPING Holy Father God!
