GOD’S SPIRIT=LIVES IN YOU

 

Yesterday=was a JOYOUS CELEBRATION=but

The readings today=ARE IN DARK CONTRAST

 

We read about a man=who had

THE LORD’S SPIRIT=in him=who had

Jesus’ SPIRIT in him=and

 

The Spirit of God=which is LOVE=which

SHOULD BE=in every one of us=as we

HONOR Saint Stephen=who CARRIED

God’s spirit in him=to the very end

To his death

 

“But Stephen=FILLED with the HOLY SPIRIT=

Looked up intently to heaven=and saw=the GLORY

Of God and Jesus=standing at the right hand

Of God……..”                                                                                                                           Acts 7:55

 

“Now Stephen=a man=FULL of God’s

Grace and power=performed=GREAT WONDERS

And signs=among the people”                                                                                               Acts 6:8

 

Stephen is=STONED TO DEATH

For his TESTIMONY=about Jesus=the likelihood

Of that happening=TO US=is extremely remote=

Nevertheless =we should be

LIVING WITH=GOD’S SPIRIT IN US!

 

We should be=LIVING with the TESTIMONY

For our Holy Father God=and our Jesus=ALL

The days of our life

GOD’S SPIRIT=LIVES IN US

 

“THE SPIRIT OF GOD=has made me=the BREATH

Of the Almighty=GIVES ME LIFE!”                                                                                                    Job 33:4

 

“For this s what=the high and exalted ONE SAYS=

He who lives forever=his name is holy=

 

‘I live in a high=and holy place=but also

With the one=who is contrite

And=LOWLY IN SPIRIT

 

To receive=THE SPIRIT=of the lowly

And to revive the heart=of the contrite’”                                                                                    Isaiah 57:15

 

But there is SOMETHING good and new=

To us=in

THE STONING OF STEPHEN

 

As Stephen is stoned=a young man

Is standing and watching  it all=and it is

THE GREAT WITNESS and writer Paul=who

Is CHANGED by our own LORD Jesus Christ=He condoned

STEPHEN’S DEATH= but became the most PROLIFIC

CHRISTIAN WITNESS =of all time

 

GOD’S SPIRIT=lived in Stephen and Paul

Just as SURELY=as it lives in us

In today’s world

WITNESS=and testify for our Lord Jesus Christ

 

GOD’S SPIRIT=LIVES IN YOU=when you

Live with=THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT=that

Is LIVING INSIDE OF YOU

 

“But the=FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT=is love=

Joy=peace=forbearance=kindness=goodness=faithfulness=

Gentleness= and self-control”                                                                                                            Galatians 5:22

 

“Do not=get drunk on wine=which

Leads to debauchery=Instead

BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT”                                                                                                     Ephesians 5:18

 

Dear Lord=we PRAY to you today

That we may be FILLED=with the HOLY SPIRIT

Of God

 

And we pray=that we TESTIFY and witness

For God and Jesus=ALL the days of our lives

 

Just like Jesus Christ=just like

Stephen and Paul=and ALL the apostles and saints

Who have=GIVEN their lives=for the cause

 

Dear friends=dear brothers and sisters=

GOD’SPIRIT OF LOVE=LIVES

INSIDE OF YOU!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our forever LOVING and living=Holy Father God!
