SLOW DOWN AND REFLECT

 

Are you REFLECTING=on God’s PROMISES?

On Jesus’ promise?=that he will be with us

THROUGHOUT=all of time=HE

Will never give up=on us

Or abandon us=

NO MATTER WHAT OUR SITUATION!

 

“I the Lord=will answer them=I

The God of Israel=WILL NOT FORSAKE THEM”                                                                           Isaiah 41:17b

 

The LORD=Makes us promises of LOVE

Of everything GOOD=and of forgiveness and KINDNESS

GRACE and inspiration=come from him alone=and

THE HOLY SPITIT OF GOD

 

ADVENT is the BEST TIME=it is

The TIME=for PREPARING for our Lord

It is=the time

TO SLOW DOWN AND REFLECT=on

The ALMIGHTY PROMISES=of our

Holy Father God=and his SON=Jesus Christ

 

“And he=(THE LORD)=passed

In front of Moses PROCLAIMING=’The Lord=the Lord=

The compassionate and gracious God

 

Slow to anger=abounding in love=and faithfulness

Maintaining LOVE=to thousands=and

Forgiving wickedness=rebellion=and sin”                                                                                           Psalm 34:6

 

“My dear brothers and sisters=take

Note of this=everyone

 

Should be slow to speak=AND SLOW

To become angry”                                                                                                                              James 1:19

 

“The Lord=is NOT SLOW=

IN KEEPING HIS PROMISE=as some

Understand slowness

 

Instead he is=patient with you=

Not wanting anyone to perish=but everyone

To come to repentance”                                                                                                                            2 Peter 3:9

 

Jesus fulfilled the covenant

THE PROMISES=for all of time=for humanity

With his life=death=and RESURRECTION

 

With ADVENT HERE=and Jesus

COMING again this year=it is time

To SLOW DOWN AND REFLECT=on

The PROMISES OF GOD

Promises made=promises fulfilled

SLOW DOWN=for our Holy Father God

And his Son=Jesus Christ

 

“Not one of all=

The Lord’s GOOD PROMISES

To Israel failed=every one=WAS FULFILLED”                                                                       Joshua 21:45

 

“Through these=he has given us

HIS VERY GREAT=AND PRECIOUS PROMISES

 

So that through them=you may participate

In the divine nature=having escaped

The corruption in the world=

Caused by evil desires”                                                                                                2 Peter 1:4

 

So IF=you have TURNED AWAY

From God=in your life

ESPECIALLY this Advent

 

We need to=SLOW DOWN AND REFLECT

And TRUST IN=the Holy Father God=and

His Son=Jesus Christ

 

CELEBRATING=the Holy DAYS=of

The SEASON=and life IN THE LORD=do not

Give in=to the HUSTLE AND BUSTLE

Of the secular world

 

LOOKING FORWARD=to Christ=and the Holy Father God

Coming back=they will NEVER FORSAKE US

SLOW DOWN AND REFLECT=as you

PREPARE for Jesus’ coming

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our Holy FATHER LOVING and living God
