KNOWING THE WHOLE STORY!

 

We have the BENEFIT=Of hindsight

So we=KNOW THE WHOLE STORY=Of Jesus

And WHO he was

 

But the PEOPLE=of his day

DID NOT KNOW=who he was

They JUDGED HIM=without knowing

Who he was=like we OFTEN DO

About people=in our world today

 

We are=NOT to judge someone

WITHOUT knowing the whole story

 

“Look he is a glutton=and a drunkard

A FRIEND=of tax collectors=and sinners”                                                                                 Matthew 11:19

 

WE KNOW the whole story

We know=Jesus is our KING

 

Yet we KNOW=he was born in a stable

WE WONDER=like the wise men=HOW

This humble setting=is FIT for a KING

Yet this ADVENT=we HOLD ON to Jesus

As we PREPARE for him=for we are

KNOWING THE WHOLE STORY!

 

“What good will it be=for someone to

Gain the WHOLE WORLD=yet

Forfeit their soul

 

Or what can anyone=give in

Exchange for their soul?”                                                                                                   Matthew 16:26

 

“Jesus did many other things=as well

If every one of them=

 

Were written down=I suppose

THAT EVEN THE WHOLE WORLD

Would not have room=for the books

That would be written”                                                                                                  John 21:25

 

But the people=of his day

DID not know=who Jesus was

 

They saw a child=WHO GREW UP

To eat with sinners=ATTRACTING LARGE CROWDS=and

Confusing the hierarchy

 

Jesus’ BEHAVIOR=was CONTRARY to the expected

They judged Jesus=by

Their very own standards

 

They judged Jesus=without

KNOWING THE WHOLE STORY!

But we know the ending

We know=THE WHOLE STORY=and

Who Jesus was

 

“For I have not hesitated=to proclaim

To you=THE WHOLE WILL=of God”                                                                                              Acts 20:27

 

“For whoever=keeps the WHOLE LAW

And yet stumbles=at just one point=is guilty of

Breaking all of it”                                                                                                                  James 2:10

 

“He is the atoning sacrifice=for

Our sins=and not only ours

But for the sins=of the WHOLE WORLD”                                                                                1 John 2:2

 

Jesus’ LIFE=and his judgment=should be

A LESSON=for all of us

 

That we=SHOULD NOT JUDGE OTHERS

Without KNOWING= THE WHOLE STORY!

For we=may never know=WHO

SOMEONE turns out to be

 

NOT that it matters=for every person

IS WORTHY=of dignity and respect

 

KNOW THE WHOLE STORY=of the Lord

And others=and PROCLAIM the good news

Of our Holy Father God and Jesus=to the world

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LOVING=and living=Holy Father God!
