GRATITUDE=FOR ANSWERED PRAYERS

 

GRATITUDE=FOR ANSWERED PRAYES

 

Have you ever PRAYED=and were

ANSWERED=by the Lord Our God=and

His Son Jesus?=I have and

There is NO GREATER FEELING=I have

Been given CONTINUED LIFE=over and over again

 

Today=we have the gospel story

Of ANSWERED PRAYERS=for

Zechariah and Elizabeth

 

“But the ANGEL=said to him=

‘Do not be afraid Zechariah=because

YOUR PRAYER HAS BEEN HEARD’”                                                                                           Luke 1:13

 

Zechariah and Elizabeth=had wanted

A child=and PRAYED FOR DECADES

 

And then=ALL OF A SUDDEN

There prayers were ANSWERED=and

An angel tells Zechariah=that

They will have a SON

 

And that son=will PREPARE the people

To be=WORTHY OF THE LORD!

 

Sometimes=we have TO WAIT

For while=but then=there is no

GREATER TREASURE=than when

THE LORD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS

GRATITUDE=FOR ANSWERED PRAYERS

Giving thanks=to the Lord

 

“Enter the gates=WITH THANKSGIVING

And his courts with praise=GIVE THANKS

To him=and praise his name”                                                                                               Psalm 100:4

 

“BUT THANKS=be to God!

He gives us the victory=through

Our Lord Jesus Christ”                                                                                                  1 Corinthians 15:57

 

“Rejoice always=pray continually

GIVE THANKS=in all circumstances=for

This is God’s will=for you=In Christ Jesus”                                                                     1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

 

But that is=NOT INITALLY Zechariah’s response

No prayers=no thanksgiving to God=No wondering

IF he and Elizabeth are up=to the task

 

He has a=LACK OF FAITH

IN=the God of miracles=and as a result

He is MADE MUTE

 

How about you?=are you GRATEFUL

To the GOD OF MIRACLES=when

He has answered your PRAYERS?=Do

You give praise=Do you bow down

And GIVE THANKS?

 

WAITING ON=The God of MIRACLES

Showing GRATITUDE AND LOVE=for

OUR ANSWERED PRAYERS

 

“You are=the God

WHO PERFORMS MIRACLES=you

Display your power=among the peoples”                                                                            Psalm 77:14

 

“Fellow Israelites=listen to this

Jesus of Nazareth=was a man=accredited by God

TO YOU BY MIRACLES=wonders and signs

Which God did among you=through him

As you yourselves know”                                                                                               Acts 2:22

 

We too=CAN be less than grateful

WHEN our prayers are ANSWERED

 

Let us learn a lesson=Form Zechariah=and

ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL=To God=and Jesus

When our prayers are answered

 

Dear Lord=we say THANK YOU

With love and grace=for

EVERY ANSWERED PRAYER=Showing GRATITUDE ALWAYS!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LIVING=forever loving

Always ANSWERING=Holy Father God!
