IN A MOSES STATE OF MIND

IN A MOSES STATE OF MIND Have you ever been in A state of mind WHERE you are mind and body tired- Where you are aching-brokenhearted- TASTING despair-and bereft of energy? I have been IN that state TOO MANY TIMES in my life But with God and the ENCOURAGEMENT Of my FAMILY and friends- I have MANAGED to go on And I manage to go on DEVOTING my life to God- I hope you do too So this was Moses'-state of mind As Joshua and the Israelites battled The Amalekites “Aaron and Hur supported his hands One on one side And one on the other So that his hands REMAINED STEADY Till sunset” Exodus 17:12 Joshua and the Israelites WON The battle-because of Moses-and HIS uprightness of his arms And isn't that LIKE our God-when We recall the moments that We COULDN'T GO ON Without the HELP and encouragement Of God-our parents-our sisters- Our friends Their drive-their encouragement- Their strength KEPT US and keep us MOVING FORWARD “You-Lord- Hear the desire- Of the afflicted You ENCOURAGE them And you listen To their cry” Psalm 10:17 “Judas and Silas- Who themselves were prophets- Said MUCH to encourage and strengthen The BELIEVERS” Acts 15:32 And that may be OUR CALLING too IF we don't have the physical strength To get the job done ourselves To ENCOURAGE and STREGTHEN others In their RACE FOR GOD So that we CAN ALL- WIN the race-and-BUILD A world that is MORE PLEASING TO GOD How about you? Are you in A MOSES STATE OF MIND- Tires-brokenhearted-in despair- BEREFT OF ENERGY? GIVE THANKS to our God Give thanks to the ONE Who NEVER fails to gather us In the arms of LOVE AND MERCY And HOLD you there It is also TIME to give thanks To those who give us GENTLE ENCOURAGEMENT Who tells us that we are beautiful That we are smart At the times We MOST NEED to hear it So thank you Lord For your strength and DIVINE ENCOURAGEMENT And thank you to the others- Who have HELD me up When I couldn't do it “The WEAPONS we fight with Are NOT the weapons of the world On the contrary They have DIVINE POWER To demolish strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:4 So that we can STILL WIN The spiritual war WHEN we are in A MOSES STATE OF MIND Robert P.
