WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPEN In 1981=there was a POPULAR book written- Called=”WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE” It was written by Rabbi Harold Kushner- And was dedicated to his 14-year-old son-Aaron Aaron had died in 1977 of An incurable genetic disease-progeria- It was a NEW YORK TIMES best seller In the nonfiction category I have NO IDEA why this terrible disease Happened to Aaron- Just as I have no idea- WHY any bad thing happens To anyone I do know-it is NOT a punishment For anything-and I do know BOTH good and bad things happen to Good and bad people-and people of ALL types WAIT it out=if bad things are happening= PRAY about it=it will turn around LISTEN to what Jesus said: “Sir-leave it for this year also And I will CULTIVTE the ground Around it-and fertilize it It nay bear FRUIT In the future” Luke 13:8-9 And listen to what Job said- He MAY have said it BEST- WHEN he was going through His misfortunes “Job replied, 'You are talking like A foolish woman Shall we accept GOOD from God And not trouble?' In all of this Job did not sin in what he said” Job 2:10 So good and bad-HAPPEN- to us all-and it has NOTHING to do with sin or punishment It is the CIRCUMSTANCES Of our life ALL we can do-is get CLOSER In our WALK with God And SHARE with God and Jesus=BOTH= The good and bad circumstances of our life So when bad things happen Get closer to God In your walk “I will walk about in FREEDOM For I Have sought out your precepts” Psalm 119:45 “Come-descendants of Jacob- Let us WALK in the LIGHT of the Lord” Isaiah 2:5 “BUT if we WALK in the light As he is the light We have FELLOWSHIP With one another And the blood of Jesus His SON PURIFIES US from all sin” 1 John 1:7 So WHY do bad things happen- Why do we get that awful health diagnosis? WHY do our finances fail? Why do our marriages and other Relationships fail? I can't answer that-and neither Can anyone else-ONLY GOD What I can TELL YOU is That Jesus is the CONSTANT GARDENER STICK with him and things will TURN AROUND THEY DID FOR ME When Jesus is OUR SOIL=we live IN Jesus' name Robert P.
