WE HAVE BEEN SET FREE When Christ died and RESURRECTED From his death He set us FREE from the SLAVERY of sin He set us free From the sins of Adam And of man However-many of us have CONTINUED to stay prisoners Of the PAST and the SLAVERY Of sin “For FREEDOM-Christ set us freedom- To stand FIRM- And do NOT submit again To the yoke of slavery” Galatians 5:1 We have been SET FREE We are FREE to be free We are like a frightened bunny ALONE in our cell Afraid to take ONE step out Of our OPEN cells MAYBE we are afraid That we are free Maybe we are afraid To KNOW that God and CHRIST Have broken the chains TAKE that first step BREAK from your past You are free-I am free- WE ARE FREE DON'T BE a prisoner of the past “For everything That was written in the past Was WRITTEN to teach us So that through the ENDURANCE Taught in the SCRIPTURES And the ENCOURAGEMENT They provide We MIGHT HAVE HOPE” Romans 15:8 “In the PAST God SPOKE to our ancestors Through the prophets At many times And in various ways BUT in these last days He has spoken to us By his SON- Whom he appointed heir To ALL things And through whom Also he MADE the universe” Hebrew 1:1-2 God's FINAL WORD is his SON We are MADE FREE in Christ We are made free FROM our past We are NO LONGER PRISONERS WE are FREE to live our LIVES In Christ-not sin Dear Lord-Dear God-DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER Help us to ACCEPT our worthiness And help us to REMEMBER That Jesus has indeed SET US FREE “Jesus replied- 'Very truly-I tell you EVERYONE who sins IS a slave to sin NOW a slave Has NO permanent place In the family But a son BELONGS to it FOREVER So if the SON SETS YOU FREE YOU WILL be free indeed'” John 8:34-36 WE HAVE BEEN SET FREE!
